Does anyone know a good place to purchase a refurbished dashboard for an 87 325es?

I assume you're talking about the cracked dash pad. If it's the cluster, there are some great resources for have yours done. There are no refurbished ones in the market. You can still buy new ones from BMW but are getting very pricey. Rigid plastic dash caps that go over your existing one are available. I don't have personal experience with them but some board members have. Coverking makes dash covers in a variety of materials. Go to their site to learn more. Other than that, you'll be looking for a uncracked used one. There aren't many of them left.

I have tried everything on refurbishing the cracks in the dash and nothing and again nothing works. It will start as acceptable and then all goes wrong as soon as you drive it. Wast of money and time.
This is what I'm finding. Sounds like someone should make an aftermarket replica and sell them for $300-$400

No experience, but these seem like a reasonable alternative without the need to spend hours getting your old dash out. http://coverlaymfg.com/i-11361542-co...ash-cover.html
You can still buy the dash new from the dealer, it'll set you back 700-1000 depending on your hookup level.

I just checked out justdashes.com and have requested a quote on a dash refurbishment/rebuild on my '91 318is. Not looking forward to removing the dash but it's cracked so bad it really needs to be done. When I get a price on the "new" dash I'll post it here.

For comparison, current pricing for PN 51451941532
List Price: $1,292.05 (Dealer parts counter will likely run significantly higher.)
bmwdirectparts.com: $997.72
Definitely check for current availability. Whatever is left is likely sitting in a German warehouse.

Check out e34DIYer's thread on his overall build. He tried a couple different methods and the results look good. I have a a cracked spare and was going to give it a try. Just sort posts by views and his will be near the top.
Some guy did a fantastic job a while ago and posted a DIY thread...member npover72. Try to find him.
Used SEM and Polyvance product. Came out fantastic.
