Okay, so now I'm starting to get a little worried.
I have now put 7k miles on my baby, and this morning (from 45K to 52K), as I'm merging onto a pretty busy street, "service engine soon" light goes on, and the engine starts vibrating like crazy. I baby it to the dealer, where they conveniently gave me a 228ixdrive sport...
Anyway, got a call today, they had to replace the ignition coils and spark plugs, and since my car has the maintenance program, they also did an oil change...all for no charge. So, new radiator, now this, all covered under the engine warranty, not touched by the CPO. My CPO expires in September, but if this continues, I thinking that I should just sell my baby as it really is just a daily driver for me and a 3rd car in the family that we don't really need.
Please assure me this stuff is pretty normal, 2 check engine lights since November and 7k miles since I bought it...maybe I'm just not that lucky with BMW's
Regardless, amazing how much they have changed the 1 series to the 2 series...but honestly, as much as I enjoyed the 2 series, I still love my NA I6 engine...and I have one of the last vehicles BMW made with a NA engine, which is pretty awesome

Every other manufacturer should give up on building their own cars and just make M3s instead.
Is this your first BMW?
Lol, totally normal to have to replace most of the cooling system and ignition system every 50-70k mi ;-)
You are lucky, if it was a 135i you would also be replacing the fuel system too.
And at every 45 - 60 K. They have to get the 18 pack (coils, plugs, injectors) as their regular maintenance if they want to keep optimal performance. They can forgo the coils and injectors, but suffer performance.
Just be glad you don't have 135i. The ones being sold around here, you can't give them away. Glad I got out of that car. Been happy with the last NA I6, and much more fun running around the track without having to worry about fuel delivery, oil starvation, or turbo problems (granted this is more on BMW than it is on Mitsubishi).
As far as the radiator, I am at 77K now on my 2010, and the radiator has been solid, even after a few track events. I have already replaced the water pump and thermostat and hoses, but radiator has been solid thus far. But I think if I hit 80K, I am going to replace it.
