What did you buy for your E46 M3 this week?

I'll start this off... the Dunlop Direzzas that had been on the car for 12k mile were driving me nuts with the roar, so it was time for new rubber.
Four Michelin Pilot Super Sport Tires - 275/35R18 did the trick. The Dunlops had plenty of tread remaining, but the cupping and attending noise was too much.

Pair of OEM 19" rear wheels so I can make a squared set. Used heater valve so I can have cool air come out the vents lol, mine is stuck on "hot."
Probably gonna go get some paint stripper and aluminum polish so I can strip all my wheels' clear and polish them.

I washed and waxed the car, does that count?

I will be looking for tires at the end of this season, and am torn between the Michelin Pilot super sports and the super sport A/S 3+ as I currently have the A/S 3's on the car now.

Shipped my Drexler limited slip differential (thank you Autotech Driveline) and empty pumpkin to have it installed. Can't wait to get the M3 on track.

    No. LOL

After two sets of Dunlop Star Specs, I'm really enjoying these PSS tires. This is my DD and I'm really unable to test at anything resembling 9/10s, but they are responsive and quiet!

Nice, the only bonus with staying with the A/S 3+ would be the tread wear of 500 vers the 300 of the Pilot Sports. I average around 7.5k a year so it would last 4-5 years on the A/S 3+ tires, and maybe 3-4 years on the Pilot Sports.

I went ahead an pulled the trigger on the Dr. VANOS kit, looking a 2k once it is all said and done. This will be the 2nd VANOS unit in this motor, so I am not looking at doing it again. The first one was replaced under warranty at 45k, now that I am at 91k, it has been annoying me for the last 2 seasons or about 10k.

So how are the tires wearing for you? The A/S 3+ are loosing ground in my mind, and leaning more to the Pilot sports.

I don't hear anything going on in the VANOS area, but the car has all of 57.5k miles. By your experience, I'm overdue?

The tires are barely broken in! I only drive 400 - 500 miles a month.

I forgot.. a delrin clutch pedal bushing set from AKG is in my hands. Probably going to hand off that job to a tech. :-)

My a/c seems to be challenged. Cool air comes out, but not COLD. Need to get this checked out, summer is not over.

Not sure, as of course each car is driven differently. How I first heard it was from driving in the city with the window's down and I heard a small/slight rattle at 1.5k, then as I went up, I heard it again at 2.5k. I cannot hear it in neutral at all, and not really at deceleration either. I am just going to go with the anti-rattle kit and send in my VANOS to them for a full rebuild, and that should be good for the rest of it's life.

The A/C is a very small charge, and I would expect that after 10-12 year a little has leaked out, pretty typical if you ask me.
