So what happened to this build? I was really looking forward to this one....
I haven’t been keeping up with forums so sorry for the very late reply. I finished the E39 and have been enjoying for years:

Took a break from modifying further to move across the country. Once we are settled I am pulling the BMW diff and putting in a Ford 8.8 in a modified BMW subframe.
