Hello,
I currently have a 2012 328i. I was considering getting an additional car for the weekend a z3. Anyway now I am thinking ma to just upgrade my current car to a 2008m3 one owner with only 19K miles
Any advise or wisdom on potential repairs under 50K miles. If I am not a crazy driver can I expect anything other than routine maintenance?
Also are maintenance more expensive?
Can anyone suggest a good Price for me to pay In other words a price that I will not be upside down in the car after I buy it if I should decide to keep it.
Lastly could this potentially be a collectors car?
Quick responses would be appreciated.
Not going to be collectable. There's just too many.
I'd ask for a Blackstone oil report before purchase and check for lead levels.
Otherwise, it's a pretty solid car. The E93 has an additional 400lbs, but ti's not going to have much grunt down low.
No idea on price. I just use KBB to get an idea.
SOLD: '96 Artic Silver M3/2 Lux Click here for pic's. 2003 X5 4.6is: Nav, loading floor, comfort seats
2007 E90 335i: Titanium Silver/Black/Aluminum trim, Sport, Premium, Heated seats (for the wife), iPOD, MORR VS7
2011 E92 M3: Space Grey/Black/Blue aluminum trim, Premium, iDrive, DCT
Convertible M3s are usually the least desired model. Plentiful and cheap in the used market. Lowest performing model in the range.
Regardless of previous comments the E93 is a nice ride. It is not a track car but if you don't understand why you want a convertible then no point listening to those comments.
The E93 vert is desired because the engine on the E93 be it a 328 or 335 takes more maintenance which is odd as usually it is the other way around....
However remember that trunk space is very limited!!

Hello!
Did you end up buying the car? I recently looked at an 08 m3 convertible with 23xxx miles, one owner car, carfax and condition makes the car seem like it was babied. I'm still tossing around whether to go for that year or 09+ because the cars I'm looking at are manual trans. Have you had any issues since purchasing that car if you did?
I too use KBB, but I have noticed that they are always under market value by a few grand. It was the same when I purchased an E46 M3 a few years ago. Same with me E92.. Booked for 24K and change. Was worth much more in the real world market. lol
