It's been about 6 years since I've owned an E39, but recently the other half and I had a conversation how it would be nice if our spare car (E36 328i 5MT) was more comfortable for trips, and automatic so we both could drive it. The outcome of that conversation was the sale of my 328i and the purchase of this 528i Sport.
The particulars are:
118,500 miles
Titanium Silver Metallic
Sport Package
Black Leather Seating
Sunroof
Automatic Transmission.
It's a southern car so there is absolutely no rust anywhere and it came with a bunch of service records and the original window sticker.
It needs a bit of front suspension work and an aux fan replacement. Cooling system was replaced 1.5 yrs ago. Getting that all done next week so we should have a decent cruiser. Glad to be back!

Wow, that is a super clean 528i! I almost never see 528i's in that condition here in Arizona, the majority of them here are super beat up with peeling paint. Pretty low mileage on yours too, so as long as you keep the cooling system happy you shouldn't have too many problems.
I know the feeling of wanting to be back in an E39 as well... I owned a 2003 540i/6 for a little while, sold it, regretted it, and now I'm back in the E39 world with a freshly acquired 2000 M5.
1995 525i 5-speed - Thread
Very nice looking clean car you have there. That titansilber colour really brings out those classic lines. Just a suggestion - depending on your taste - you might find that the whole thing pops more with some Euro style front and back headlight covers. I saw quite a difference when I did that on my titansilber car.
What year is the car? Looks like it might be 1999 or 2000.
Out of curiosity, what's in the sport package? I see steering wheel. Not transmission - looks like the regular one, no? Suspension? Certainly wheels with the indented '5' style and that nice lip. I have about that mileage on my 528i..

Thanks, I saw your thread but haven't read it yet. Will check it out soon.
Thanks! It's a 1999. Sport package included the steering wheel, exterior black trim 17" Style 5 wheels, M sport suspension, and black interior window edges. The transmission is the 4 speed automatic. 5 speed step wasn't available until mid 2000 model year. I specifically shopped for the 4 speed transmission as it's a very stout box that has a very low cost to maintain or replace in the unlikely event of failure.

Congrats and welcome back! A nice find...
I bought my 2000 with 95k on the clock and have just passed 228k with ease. My friend's friend let me drive his Tesla and I immediately was able to compare the 540 after. Interestingly enough, I was more impressed with the e39. I'm not saying I didn't like the Tesla but I'll never go back to anything else I've owned (except possibly the '89 e32 750iL). Half million miles, here I come!

I agree on the tranny. practically bullet proof. And that 3rd gear acts as a SPORT gear - much more aggressive shifting from the EGS ecu, and a lot of fun. It's discovery (I'm slow I guess) by me led to my keeping the car a few more years.
I hope you get many years of enjoyment from your ride.
