its getting pretty real over here.

The softest radial i ran was the hoosier. They were sick when they were new but wore out real quick.

Would make a great track tire.

I just went with the Quick Time Pro hoosier bias ply. Im being told they are "the most" stable of bias ply slicks.

I've ran all the drag radials offered. Personally I like the M&H drag radials. They have the most cushion on launch.
    Next would be Hoosiers.

Thanks man! The brand is Race Star Industries, it is 5x4.75 which is the GM patterm, bolts up fine to my 90mm hard motorsport studs, I will need to shave the caliper down and add a 20-25mm spacer because the inside of the wheel is hitting the control arm, the tire measures out at 26.3 inches diameter and 11.5 inches wide mounted

trying to be like you bro lol, Im going to give the et street R a run as they look promising, people have cut 1.5 60ft's on these

These are for the street, Im getting a pair of ET drag's also in 26x10 for the strip

mounted up the tires and did a test fit out back, the flares tuck the massive rubber well, The wheel will be spaced out just a hair so it is not touching the LCA

Also I took the head off and the manifold, I need to do a few modifications to the manifold to make my life easier in the future, Im going to stay with this one instead of getting my friends t4 manifold, cyl number 6 is pretty black compared to the rest, also the woodruff key was broken, and it has been for some time, its the reason my last 3 turbos have melted and I believe its the reason my engine started knocking, cam timing was off by a few degrees, im happy the valves did not contact the pistons.

I sheared the woodruff key on the balancer but the one on the timing sprocket was still okay.

Jordan diagnosed it when I told him i melted all 3 turbos and the car felt down on power.

I ordered subframe reinforcements to weld in and all diff and subframe bushings for the new rear end, got both m3 axles and trailing arms, have to shave down the calipers soon and when its all done get the rear aligned and setup broken in and tuned.

Are you shaving down your current calipers? Non m calipers won't bolt onto m tailing arms.

When I was lining them up they looked like they would bolt up, I have 330i rear calipers.

The bolt holes are the same distance, and the offset by eye is pretty spot on, I'll measure it ifs not raining tomorrow.

Yeah, I do. I have an oval 4" in 4" out in the middle of my car. Did you get hubcentric spacers for the GM wheels?

About 1.5mm off. 4.75 inches times 25.4mm per inch is 120.6mm versus 120mm BMW. Should be at least 0.030 play in each hole so the wheels should fit. Hubcentric spacers may be the issue if domestic hubs are bigger but you can buy adapter rings.

    I'm betting they would..

Front and rear the mounting holes are the same between M and non M.

It's how I'm running an M3 Wilwood setup front and rear on my car. Only on the front did I have to adjust the depth.. the rears bolted right on without any issue.

He was talking about the brakes lining up, the wheels bolt up without issue, .6mm off in bolt circle is close enough.

Cool, thanks fior confirming that they should fit, just eyeballing it I thought it would work.

Glad to see you're replacing the rear end. Did this a couple of months ago, and the car is a completely different animal.

Don't forget the rear trailing arm pocket reinforcement plates! If you don't have them you'll definitely need them

Between yesterday morning and now, I've read all three of your build threads. I just picked up a rebuilt hx40W for $330 and your build thread has been a true inspiration. I'm working with my shop/tuner/parts store (they gets whats I needs quick) for the foreseeable future to make sure my parts list is all set and I build my motor right. Keep up the amazing work! Hopefully my budget won't get demolished as bad as yours did! XD

thanks man, just dont get wrapped up in numbers and youll be able to stick to your budget.

I'm waiting on a few parts to come in, got my turbo manifold sandblasted and ported, also got a flange welded on it to space the turbo up a little more so it doesnt touch my freshly powder coated valvecover. Wrapped the manifold after coating the manifold in VHT flameproof.

    tminus 2 weeks to mpact

    everyone loves pics right?

got the valvecover, spark cover, wastegate top, and BOV top powder coated all the same candy purple

There were a few imperfections on the valvecover due to a crappy casting so I put a bit of reflective tape on it, I think itll look cool when its all together

And there it is with the metal tie wraps, ready to get bolted to the head.
