Andddddd I ordered a 20 gallon fuel cell because im an overachiever.
Well at least ny fiel setup will be simple now.
How and where are you going to mount the fuel cell?
For a fuel cell in the trunk, it says the trunk needs to be sealed off from the passenger area of the car with a firewall so that in a rollover fuel cannot get into the car. The vent on the cell needs to have a rollover valve and a vent hose coming off it and going outside the body. Non OEM fuel lines need to be braided, woven pushlock or hardline, cannot be rubber hose with hose barbs and clamps.
For the firewall I glued sheet metal over the rear speaker openings with 3M body seam sealer and also glued quarters and pennies over all the little holes in the sheetmetal and also caulked up some of the gaps at the ends of the parcel shelf with seam sealer. The opening where my wire harness goes through is the only part I didn't seal up. Nobody has ever looked at mine, I think they just don't want to see any big gaping open holes between the trunk and the passenger compartment, I don't think it needs to actually be air tight.
Perfect, i thought thats pretty much how it had to go from what I was reading.
Hopefully I can make some progress today, yesterday was a wash because of the rain, I wantes to ride 2 wheels today but since I havent gotten any work done on the car I should really get a jump on it.
Well that sure is purdy

Usually its the other way around lol.
Was able to clean and spray the engine bay, also got the engine pretty much ready for drop in, pan on/ofh and gaskets all on. I was thinking about waiting till the engine is in the car to do the valve cover gasket but i may just do it tomorrow morning.
Went over the wrap again and got it nice and tight.
That's what she said
