I started with the e36 chassis as my second car, after owning an e30, swapped an m54 into my white e36 coupe and enjoyed that for a year, then swapped the driveline into a clean red sedan I found, then one day I got my butt handed to me by 2 of my buddies in hondas in Yonkers and that was where the madness began.
Tried building a rodded engine with an hx40 and ebay cast bottom mount and it was working great until I decided to beat on the car without getting it tuned, and blew 5 ringlands, dropped in a stock bottom end 2.5L block and made 500whp at 13psi on e85.
That worked well but I always wanted to make more power and so the fever started, I quickly learned that adding boost would worsen the addiction but satisfy me until I felt the need to turn it up some more. Swithced to a top mount manifold and upped the boost, on my original tune, 20psi made 600whp/470wtq and enjoyed that at Mpact, really competed well.
Afterwards me and Jordan of Rk-Tunes got together and we decided to test the limits of the stock bmw bottom end, 26.5psi showed an impressive 717whp/550wtq and was holding together fine, then the stupidity rolls in.
My turbo blew one night racing some friends of mine, I removed it and sent it out to get rebuilt, but as many of my fellow enthusiasts in this forum know, the addiction doesn't go away. I ended up buying a 160 dollar ebay turbo and put it on my car, maxed out the controller and went to town, it drove great and made plenty of power (butt dyno). My tuner advised me to let him revise the tune because it was seeing much more boost down low and knocking because she was seeing 24psi at 3200rpm, but w.e i'm dumber than I look so I decided it'll be fine, then the ebay turbo blew after a beating and being pushed very hard. Got an hx40 6064 and threw it back in and WOW it felt great to be back in a 60mm turbo that wasn't choking up top.
A few weeks later during a 2nd gear rip riding the limiter at 7600rpm she developed severe rod knock. I believe it was due to them being weaked from the the countless knocking from the ebay turbo loading up the engine hard at low rpm, but on to a new chapter.
It has been parked as I started a new job and I needed a dailty that I could tow to the track with so I got sidetracked and bought a 2016 Ram 1500 sport.
That short story brings us to the current state/plans, because after a small purchase today I am back on track to rebuilding my E36.

CP s50 stock compression pistons for 86.5mm

Eagle 135mm rods with arp rod bolts
Non vanos head with s50 cams and vanos added

6764 hx40 (billet wheel modified by Turbo Lab of America)
Twin scroll t3 tubular polish export manifold
single walbro 485 fuel pump
115lb injectors from RK-tunes
Built 2.93 188mm 4 clutch differential by the Diff god himself (Jthayer)
M3 rear suspension/axles/brakes+ DSS shaft
315 drag radials out back
End result should be 9.5:1 compression 2.96L 7600rpm single vanos I6 and aiming for 8xxwhp/6xxwtq
The goal here is a street car that can get ROMPED on with 8xxwhp and still drive home.

Car needs to be done by mid june the latest, as Mpact is in july and I need to be prepared for all the 6870 cars that are coming(doubt ill be able to keep up lol)

Non vanos head is inferior, it has wider valve stems, this means less flow and heavier valves.

Your right I use e70 from the local pump that costs 1.50 a gallon.

The stock 64mm turbine wheel likely won't get you to 800whp without some major drive pressure. Also, the journal bearing isn't going to like life there long with those pressures.
Phase 3.5 should include a ball bearing turbo with a better turbine.
Edit: also going to need another fuel pump or a boost-a-pump. Big Wally won't get you all the way to 800whp.

I have my doubts but i also have my ideas, a little drip in base pressure will open up the walbro as it'll flow more fuel, and nobody thought I would get to 700whp on a single pump or 1000cc injectors.
As far as the turbine goes, the 10 blade 64 is what im hoping to get me to 8xx, and i was still 3 inch dp with 3inch exhaust. Switching up to a short 3.5 dp to a 4inch exhaust setup will show gains especially in the 30psi range.
So jealous on that rear m3 suspension.
I understand the tricks, but bottom line, you don't have enough fuel for a true 800whp, backed by trap speed.
Does a second walbro squeeze in? Cheap way to add plenty of fuel. Also, did you punch in the relief? If not, flow drops off dramatically at higher pressure. You'll be hitting that if you are going to try to kill the holset pushing it to 800 with the small backside.

I am thinking about dropping in another walbro, it is an easy fit, we will see what happens.
What if you put an external pump in line under the car,i think is going to help a lot.
Either an 044 inline or a second walbro 4xx in tank will do the job. Enough fuel to kill the journal bearing and holset shits itself.
BTW. I have the same turbo. 67mm turbolab wheel and comp cover on a stock turbine that I rebuilt and assembled. .70AR open T3. Trapped 129 at 35psi. Now running 41ish on the street.
Still making power but to get the most of the comp wheel on my 2.0, it will take closer to 50psi and I'm already pushing the limits of reliability. FP Xona rota 95-67 is likely my next turbo since it will bolt on to my manifold and downpipe.

Interesting build combo with the S50 pistons with an 84mm crank. Your taking a piston designed for certain deck HT and dropping it down 1mm into a cylinder. Interested to see the results.
