So are you trying to keep the comparison weights consistently including all of the accessories even the P/S and A/C for most useful comparisons? Skimming back over the pics in the thread I see P/S and A/C included on everything except, I can't tell if you included the A/C compressor for the 351, or either the A/C compressor or P/S pump for the 302?
In any case, accepting the info on the toymods forum for the 1JZ as accurate, the 1JZ would weigh similar to the M50 plus transmission. Albeit that the 1JZ includes turbo and at least hotside plumbing. And that would make the 1JZ only 30-40lbs lighter than a 351W plus T5 trans, so does that make the engine about ~50-75lbs heavier than the 351W depending on how much a featherweight T5 weighs and whether the A/C compressor was included with the 351?
Bottom line though, I'm always a bit skeptical of whether everything significant was remembered and added up when compiling an engine weight from component weights as you did (it appears that you got everything), so it would be cool if could get an assembled weight some time when you have to yank the engine for whatever reason.

You guys in the Vegas 1J swap club seem to have plenty of opportunities to weigh them out there, I can't imagine it will be long until the next opportunity.
I suggest cheap bathroom scales (three probably) with some sort of a load spreader (board, chunk of 2x8?) on top of each one to assist with getting an accurate reading from them. I have a set of car scales I got years ago for corner balancing, and the scales they use quite effectively are just regular old cheap bathroom scales with a piece of 3/16" steel plate that sits on a designated place on each scale.
Of course, that steel plate is really only there because a roller bearing rolls across it as the car is lowered onto the A-frames that hold the tires... So whatever..

Maybe this can show some insight on the S52/ZF combo?
I weighed my engine/trans combo. No fluids, but complete with alternator/intake/TB/oil cooler, etc. and with the new aluminum heads.
Total? 552lbs.
Adding the power steering pump, reservoir, bracket, and lines adds another 20lbs. Going back to iron heads would add another 50lbs.
Hey someone pull their M54B30 with zf 6 speed and tell me how much that weighs plz and thx. What I was coming up with via the internet puts it in at lighter than an sr20det which I find hard to believe.
Anyonw have a vq37 weight with and without trans?
