When there is any movement of handle the window drops then goes back up when movement stops. Bumpy road etc. worse though is when using car wash. Does anyone of down and dirty way of adjusting the sensitivity.

weird...usually the complaint is the other way around...window never drops. Interesting....I'm with tendril...something threw the microswitch off alignment and its now super sensitive.

Maybe mounting of the switch is bent out of shape, toward the actual door handle. Tendril +1
...as mentioned, Could also be the switch is just loose, If it's bad i'll send you one.
Crud I was hoping there was a way to mess with it without taking door panel off.

There is a plug when you open the door, You may be able to get a peak from there.
Check the black rubber wrap on the round striker post on the door sill--by the microswitch. Sometimes the rubber gets compressed, so the microswitch does not properly actuate when the door is shut.
Fix is to use your fingers or pliers and rotate the black rubber wrapping a bit, so now the door latch thingy is engaging virgin rubber surface.
Works on E36 anyway.
Its ain't that hard to remove and door panel, but pretty hard to remove without damaging sound insulator.
Hyper have an excellent write up on the door handle. Picture 22nd, of link provided bellow, shows the drill bit and right above that bit, is your almighty window switch! http://www.bimmerforums.com/forum/sh...r-handle-pivot

Have you already repaired your door handle?
Sure, it could be a faulty switch, but the symptom is also consistent with a fractured input arm on the pivot, effectively disconnecting the clocked return spring from the outside handle. If the case, the handle is then no longer forced into its resting position and forcibly operating the switch. That this happens when wet is a further symptom. Water gets in under the outside gasket, possibly swelling dirt, and pushes the handle out just enough.
Fyi, the switch is a Normally Closed type, so it must be operated/pressed in order to give the same result (window up) as if the harness was unplugged from the switch.
Fyi, even with these two methods (switch pressed and/or unplugged), you would still get a window drop if the door is swung open a sufficient distance. Hence there is yet other sensing.
Check the problem isn't with the INTERIOR handle - mine had a hair trigger and would drop the window when driving now and again - I thought the door was coming open! Just try a tiny pull of the interior handle, there should be a few millimeters of movement before the window drops.
