Where are you guys getting your rear wheel bearings and seals for the 323i rear trailing arms?
Wallothnesch has some in stock, according to their website.

Read Jester's experience with buying them from W&N. There may be very high tariffs on importing bearings from Europe.
Wow! That is one crazy price for bearings and seals. Looks like I found the bearings and inner seal for quite a bit less, but I am having a hard time finding the outer seal.
Worst case try Maxamilion, BMW Mobile Traditions outside of Baltimore, Md.
I am talking with a rep from Maximilian right now to try and find the outer seal size. Crossing my fingers!
I went to REALOEM to make sure I have the part numbers then ordered from Max Imports. Still have the bags of the parts around the shop. The Max Import reps are usually pretty good. Just be sure you have the Realoem diagrams.
I still drive daily with no commute...
The Hazard is All, Praise the Hazard!
I ended up getting the measurements of the bearings and seals and ordering from local companies in the US. Came out cheaper than getting/finding bmw replacements.

Thanks, rear wheel bearings on my 323i is the next project after I replace them on my e36.
Turns out a couple years of stance and drifting is about as hard on bearings as not moving for 26 years.

Has anyone got the Timken (or an equivalent) numbers for those 323 rear bearings?

I had a long conversation about wheel bearings last week with a gentleman from Auto Supply Company- a Los Angeles icon of more than 100 years, whose color scheme was stolen by Auto Zone for the record too.
Anyhow, he seemed to think that National wheel bearings had gone south since they were acquired by Federal Mogul.
I then quoted several complaints about Timkens being re-used, but he seemed to think that they must have been isolated incidences of shady parts distributors.
So, can we say that Timken is the only brand to be trusted to produce quality bearings?
What's the verdict from some of the most scrupulous folks I know?
@bassboy Did you get JustInCase, Timken, or Federal Mogul from mibearing.com? That link and ebay link took us the sites' respective home pages fyi...thanks.
When I got bearings for my e36, it sounded like both SKF and FAG have made OE bearings for BMW before IIRC.
Idk why anyone else hasn't just ordered generic bearings for the 323i arms. I used to order generic ABEC bearings for my mountain bikes or BMX bikes bottom bracket and hubs. Glad someone finally took the time to find the sizes for the 323i arms
I finally got the chance to start replacing the rear wheel bearings in my 323i trailing arms. I had researched sizes and posted a list of bearings that I found and ordered (shown quoted above). I removed the bearings from the first trailing arm and when testing the new bearings on the stub axle, I found that the inner bearings did not fit over the axle. The ID seemed to be too small. I went back to the list and clicked on the link for the inner bearings I purchased which are shown to be SKF 362525 part number. I then noticed that it says Timken equivalent is RW122 and that is the bearing that I received. The ID is 28mm when it is supposed to be 30mm, so I am assuming this would be for the US spec 320i trailing arms, not the 323i.
So, it looks like I need to order new inner bearings at the size of 30x58x16, but can't seem to locate anything. If anyone has a contact for these bearings please post it. Thank you.
It may be that this bearing is only available from BMW.
I have found in the past that some bearings can be found aftermarket and some are OEM only.
I believe this to be a result of patent rights to the specific bearing, but I could be all wrong.
Two of the bearings of concern are in stock in BMW's Redland warehouse with a suggested retail price of $76.83.
Part # 33 41 1 119 994
The other 2364 are in the Fatherland
I hope this helps your quest.
Jeff
I have found the correct SKF bearing at multiple local bearing shops, but they always say that the Timken RW122 is an equivalent. As I've learned that is not the case since Timken doesn't even manufacture a 58mm OD bearing with a 30mm ID according to their catalog. So I'm just a little confused now and don't want to order the SKF and have it be the same issue as the Timken. I'm going to wait till Tuesday when these places are open again and call to confirm.

I bought bearings and seals for my 320i from Advanced Auto Parts. They're Japanese bearings so I'm not expecting any chinesium-related premature failures. Are the bearings different on the 323i?
