    Spacers on front wheels?

A friend is considering 12 mm spacers on his front wheels to get a square setup. Anyone btdt? Any issues? He's looking at putting a set of Apex wheels on his 2001.

    Thanks,

Really depends on offset of the Apex Wheels and his suspension setup. I used to run Square setup with OEM style 65's. They looked amazing, but I experienced a little bit of trammeling at highway speeds. I used 3mm spacers with extended lugs. I switched back to OEM staggered and couldn't be happier, the ride is ultra smooth. The German's did it for a reason for this vehicle. Not to discourage your friend, I've seen Apex wheels on the M5, they look great! I would shoot over to M5board and do a little research on which spacers are needed. I've seen a few guys on there who run that setup.

I'm running 18x10 et25 ARC8 all around, with 5mm spacers up front to clear Koni yellow struts.
As jdauria said, wide wheels up front cause some tramlining. But looks beefy as hell though!
