I check the INPA > Transmission, there are 3 options, the first is Gearbox, automatic GS19, 2nd: Sequential SSG, 3rd: DXC, VGSG. Which one should I selete? My car is 2006 BMW 325xi. I select GS19, it says version does not match.

    - - - Updated - - -

My UIF is below, but I did not see any match on WinKFP2.jpg. I also have another question here. I saw some post said I should enter ZUSB first, but some post said just click update ZUSB, which is correct? I install the BMW tool 2.12 and set up the BMW coding Tool as the instruction. In there, I did select the SP daten. Should I set in WinKFP again or not? Should I use BMW coding tool to update the transmission or WinKFP? I am so confused now.

The ECU family in WinKFP for your transmission is GKE211. ZUSB 7572903 would be the latest.

GS19 should be the proper INPA script.

Before I saw your reply, I tried the GKE233, update in WinKFP. It showed ECU>ZBNr from UIF XXXXXX to 7572903. After update, there are Brake, ABS, 4X4 lights on. Then I saw your reply, I tried the GKE211, the same information, Brake, ABS, 4X4 lights on off, then light again. Drive the car outside for few minutes, the transmission jerk from 2nd to 1st gear still exists. So sad. And how do you know my transmission is GKE211? I go to the EC-APP>NFS>DATA>GKE211 I found A7564083, the next is 7564087, there is no 7564084

Your original ZUSB was 7564084. That is compatible with EGS P/N 7563275. If you search for 7563275 in the SP Daten E89\daten\gdaten\HWNR.DA2 file, you'll see that it's in ECU family GKE211:
    Code:
    7563275,0000000,0000000,GKE211
You can display the part numbers of all installed modules (and lots of other useful information) with INPA...E90 -> Select E90 -> Functional Jobs -> <F2> Identification:

Thank you for your helpful reply. Does it matter I update the GKE 233 first then the GKE 211? The transmission jerk problem still exists after 10 minutes drive. At the very beginning, there is no jerk. Any solution? I saw someone update the VGSG to solve this problem. I am not sure it is correct or not.

No, what matters is the new ZB number. Read the UIF with INPA. What is the EGS ZB number?

You should also reset the GS19 adaptations and perform the drive cycle if you updated the EGS with WinKFP.

This ZF doc explains the drive cycle procedure:
    http://www.natef.org/NATEF/media/NAT...sion-6-8HP.pdf

I'm not sure about the VGSG, you can calibrate it with INPA. Good luck.

The EGS ZB no. is 7564084.
The manual is very useful. The drive cycle seems complex.

That's your original ZB number. So either you did not flash it with WinKFP or any attempt to do so was unsuccessful.

I did not know, as you said, Your original ZUSB was 7564084. That is compatible with EGS P/N 7563275. If you search for 7563275 in the SP Daten E89\daten\gdaten\HWNR.DA2 file, you'll see that it's in ECU family GKE211:
So I flashed the GKE211 with WinKFP, and its version has been changed, but the problem still exists and cause the ABS, brake and 4X4 lights on now. I am not sure it is because the ZBno. 7564084 does not exists in the list or not. Should I add the ZB no. to the list?

I'm not sure what your trying to say... Error codes and lights after flashing is normal. Just clear the error codes, lock the doors, and let the car sleep for at least 5 minutes.

You have SP Daten 57.x, it will not have ZB number 7564084; that ZB is from an older SP Daten.

Sp Daten 57.x does include ZB 7572903.

Sorry for the confusion. I used INPA to clear all the errors, but the ABS,BRAKE, 4X4 lights still on. How to clear these codes?
And I also checked the Errors, I saw there are errors for EGS, DSC, VGSG. They are the only three ECU I updated in WinKFP. Does not the V57 fit the 2006 BMW 325XI?

Once you drive a few miles, the error lights should go away. Then you will be able to clear the codes.

SP Daten 57.x is fine for the 2006, it has the latest ZB numbers.

I have driven over around 100 miles now in the past few days and the lights are still on. I have tried in INPA but did not work. Could you tell me how to the procedure? INPA>Transmission>... ? Or INPA> Engine>...? Thank you.

I thought that you just flashed the transmission, but I noticed in another thread on e90post where you stated that you flashed DSC and VGSG as well:

Today, I checked the error, cleared and read again, there are errors show under these three ECU (EGS, DSC, VGSG). I also got ABS/Brake/4X4 lights on.

    Is the V57 not for 2006 325XI?
That's why the lights are still on. DSC and VGSG likely require calibration and/or coding.

If I were you, I would install ISTA/D (Rheingold) and let it walk you through whatever calibrations need to be performed.

why did you update all these modules in the first place? updates usually dont fix problems unless there was a specific TSB that called for such(in which case the TSB gives your the ZUSB to use).

    Update.
I downloaded the ISTA/D and ISTA/P (52GB). UpdateD all the modules. The ABS,BRAKE, 4X4 lights are all gone. All the modules are the latest. Everything works well. The transmission problem still exists, seems mine is not software problem. I do not updated them anymore.
