Well I got a blow out today on the highway and went through a whole ordeal trying to find a spare and in the end Just decided to get the car towed home and wait for the tire.
Looks like I got a screw in it and didn't notice and once I got on the freeway the low air pressure caused the wheel to Debead and shred.

Running all good otherwise?
Yes has been pretty solid, I'm happy with it so far. Now to start redoing my suspension so it rides better. I got a set of used ground control 5 lug coilovers that I'm going to just take the inserts out of the fronts and run them in shortened 4 lug shocks.
Just opened up a dealership/ body shop with my dad so progress is going to slow down I'm sure since all my money and focus is going towards that

Swapped in the m50 manifold today since I now have a warm shop to work in. Still haven't had time to checkout the vanos code but that's next in the list. Picture of my car on the new lift because life just got a whole lot easier

It's warm again so I've been driving the car the last few days. It's really fun to drive but I can't get on it much because the lean afrs in boost.
I'm determined to figure out what's going on with my car and get it running rock solid for summer so I can have fun with it. First issue to figure out is my vanos electrical fault and once that's done I'll figure out the tuning issues if it still persists. I'm hoping it won't come down to getting a new tune since rk tunes won't get back to me but I may have to.
Yolo I guess

Ok so I made some progress on fixing my problem. It took a lot longer than I would have wished but I'm swamped with work right now.
Smoke tested the whole Intake tract and found a small leak at the fpr vacuum hose, fixed that and it richened up a lot but still not where it should be. Scanned for codes and all I have is A camshaft code, no more vanos. I'm hoping a new camsensor fixes the issue but we will see

If you can, you should really find a copy of INPA and pick up the $20 accompanying cable, makes a big difference having software actually made for diagnosing that specific engine - For the live data readout alone.
Dead obvious whether it's the cam sensor or not that way.
Yeah I really do but This harbor freight scanner isn't bad, i can data log a few parameters with it and it actually shows ltft and stft surprisingly. I also finally got a real coolant readout too an I'm running in between 200-210 at full temp after a long drive, does that sound right?

Got the new cam sensor in and still Have the same code, I took some advice and bought a cheap sensor off eBay so now I'm kind of just wondering if the sensor is bad straight out of the box since they kind of have a bad rep.
Going to look into getting INPA on my laptop so I can stop fucking around

Finally figured out the vanos electrical code. Had the one of the plugs in the small subharness plugged in at the wrong spot. I had it at the pigtail in the fuel rail and it's supposed to go to the female plug at the front of the rail. Drove the car like this for 6000 miles and never figured it out. Afrs seem to be a lot better but I haven't had a chance to go wideopen since it's been raining the last few days.
Where it was plugged in
Where it was supposed to be and is now

Good news finally: the car is running well and is wicked fast! Turned the boost controller up to 15 psi and it will finally blow the tires off in 1st 2nd and 3rd. Kind of scared me a little at first since I wasn't expecting it. Was supposed to paint the car and finish the suspension so I could sell it but now I really don't want to.

What are you turbo guys running at coolant temp wise? I usually sit between 200 and 210. Is this too hot? I keep getting mixed opinions

Cool, thanks for the quick reply. My car doesn't run that cool usually but sounds like it's fine as long as it doesn't go over 210ish.
I wish I could fit a bigger fan but I'm stuck with this 1200cfm spal thin fan since I can't fit anything bigger between the motor and rad.
I'm thinking I might try 2 10" high output fans offset to fit.

I wouldn't worry about anything less than 220 to be honest..
