You know when you first turn the key in the ignition it buzzes for about 5 seconds, well mine doesn't stop buzzing. Ive been working on the cluster, i put the wires and cluster back and come to find out this noise doesn't disappear as it should. Where is this noise from and how can i stop it. It almost sounds like its from the brake pedal sensor.

So i removed the cluster once again for the third time. The culprit is the seat belt buckle buzzer, or whatever the name is. This device keeps buzzing and doesn't stop, unless you remove the key, the other observation i made is the seat belt light stays on at the cluster. It is clear that its not OEM, and was probably added during federalization, It reads Motorcraft, Mexico, part number e43b10b924ab. The questions are why would this happen? should i replace with a new unit, or should i remove entirely and forget about it, if i do remove it would it affect the car in any way? I noticed out of 5 wires one connects to the seat belt bulb at the cluster, and another wire to the brake pedal switch.

now that i think about it, this might be what's causing the buzzing while driving over 2k rpm.

Unless you'll forget to buckle-up, I'd remove it.
Remember your car didn't come with that buzzer. If you're concerned, you can always reconnect it correctly this time.
I cut and removed the unit, obviously the noise disappeared. Ill drive the car tomorrow and see what happens.
I drove the car today. The buzzing noise from the seat belt buzzer is obviously gone, but the buzzing noise from the cluster/car was still there, until i did what one of the members suggested it do, which i will update in another thread.
Since the buzzer was removed my corner lights dont blink now. I ordered a new buzzer so i can put it back, in order to have functioning corner lights.
Im sure there is another way to bypass this but im not sure i know how to do. So unless someone can guide me, im going to have to put the new buzzer back.
There seems to be something very funky going on with your wiring. Corner lights are not related to the seatbelt buzzer.
Well i put in the new buzzer, it works, but my blinkers still dont work. Where is the singal/hazard relay located? I couldn't find it under the dash.

Ok after searching this topic i understand its inside the steering column cover. I also didn't have my hazard button plugged in. Back to the car..
Yes; if your your hazard switch is not plugged in; the early cars will not operate the lights properly.
So i put the hazard switch back on, corner light now works. However the left side does not. It appears i need to replace the hazard relay. Anyone have a working used relay? This is what i have, and what i need.

I realize this is an old thread, but thanks for posting this. My e21 had the same buzzer installed, except mine currently just buzzes for three seconds even if the seat belts are buckled. I wonder if our cars were converted by the same importer.
