2013 335i xdrive - Sport Line - front fog light area "color" question

We just bought a black sapphire metallic 2013 CPO 335i xdrive. Sport Line. Two questions about the front grill near the fog lights.

On our car, the trim panels around the fog lights on both sides is NOT sapphire black metallic but rather a definite blue color as is a horizontal strip in the lower center of the fairing. The dealer tells me that this is part of the Sport Line variation and he calls it "carbon black." Is this correct?

Secondly, there is a black panel next to the fog lamp on the driver's side but the black panel is NOT next to the fog lamp on the passenger side. The dealer tells me that larger opening on the passenger side is for additional cooling for the oil cooer, etc and it is meant to be asymmetrical. Is this also correct? He calls both openings "wind curtains"

Dealer is correct. I had exactly the same doubts when purchasing my car. The trim around fog light is kind of bluish blackish color. Not completely black. I had to replace that part 3 times because it sits so low that any debris from the road makes a hole it it. Every time I got the new part it wasn't pure black. The part is only around $20. It's also true that the one on the passender side is open while the one on the driver's side is not.
