E34 Light warning/cluster issue

So I have been experiencing a couple issue lately. From what I have read it might be the LKM module or ground wires but I am currently in doubt if it isn't two separate issues.

I have been getting the warning on the dashboard about my rear lights, license plate and fog lights not working but they are just fine. I also have been having issues with the cluster intermittently not turning on. Sometimes the cluster will only display the mileage and not the oil service and notification bar. When it does this the gong/warning sound also doesn't ring (when I turn the key).

Sometimes it does turn on or only the oil service and not the notification bar. When I press the stalk (to go to the next warning) on the cluster when the notification bar on the cluster is off it says 'CHECK CONTROL OK' when I hold it down but when released the bar once again turns dark and shuts off. On the off chance it is my cluster I also have the issue with the fuel gauge falling flat below 10Liters and the right side of my cluster instrument backlight not working (intermittently).

Can it be the LKM causing the not working of the bottom bar on the cluster? Or might it be both ground and lkm?

First of all check the 4 plugs on the back of the cluster, if they are seated correct or lose.
