Hi everyone, i have a problem with my wife's E87 120D. The DSC light keeps coming on, and i get the 5E40 error code for the steering angle sensor. However, through a bit of research it seems that the steering angle sensor can be the result of a mismatch of the other DSC sensors, which it is. When stationary, the Yaw sensor is displaying +1.64, and no offset applied (0), it looks like this is what is throwing the system out and giving the DSC light about 5 mins into each journey. Before i replace the sensor, it looks like i should be able to calibrate the Yaw back to Zero through DIS/GT1. So far i have -
Checked through INPA the steering angle sensor, its fine but recalibrated anyway.
Through DIS/GT1 i recalibrated the lateral acceleration sensor.
Checked the wheel speeds, fine.
The Yaw is still showing +1.64, and fluctuates down to about +1.4. I can't see a way of recalibrating and applying an offset in DIS/GT1. The Service option modules seem more limited on the E87 than other models. I will attach a screen shot if i can work out how to on this forum.
Anyone have any ideas how to calibrate the Yaw specifically to Zero?
Many thanks
How is the suspension alignment? When was it done last? Did you add in any new parts recently?
