Good price. Yes this is a plug n play upgrade for Non HK but you won't have the Hi-Fi switch capability. I think the Hi-Fi stays on by default with no switch.

When I bought my e36 it came with the HK system but it sounded terrible and the Hi-Fi switch didn't work at all. I replaced all the speakers and the switch still didn't work. I ended up finding a loose plug in my trunk, and upon pulling back the carpet I discovered the previous owner swapped in a stock Nokia amp to power the HK system. Must have blown the old one out. .Rolleyes. I got an HK amp at a junkyard and swapped it in-- result was a noticeable sound quality difference and the switch worked again!

Just an HK amp makes a big difference even without HK speakers. I have gone through several different setups since buying my car and can attest the amp will make even the nokia speakers sound better.

Good price, i am tempted to buy it myself.
