We know the MSRP but what is the invoice price of the car?
Probably around $5k under msrp. But there will be no discounts for 2+ years due to demand.
You won't find an M2 at invoice, but 2017 BMW dealer invoice is generally 93% of base MSRP and 92% of option prices.
(As for the 2017 M2....) A friend of mine at work in Westminster, MD ordered one from Annapolis BMW at MSRP a little over a month ago. It has already been "born" and is headed to Spartanburg, SC for pick up November 30. I just ordered one today at MSRP using the same contact information. Because of limited allotment (1-2 per dealer per quarter,) my delivery date (chose Spartanburg) is probably Spring. I am in no hurry, so no big deal. All other dealers in the Baltimore were playing the markup game. I will not be giving them any business in the future.
Still trying to decide the 6 speed vs. DCT question.........

Ordered mine from IG Burton BMW in Milford, DE also at MSRP with no markup. Ordered 3 weeks ago, but not yet in production. Hopefully won't have to wait until Spring. I got 6 speed. I have DCT on my 2011 M3, and I like it a lot but miss rowing the gears myself.
I ordered mine on 9/21, still no word on production start week. I also was lucky enough to find an allocation for one at MSRP in NJ.
I hate paying retail price to anything but for this one I broke the rule and paid the MSRP (they threw in free lifetime Skylink worth $1000 though); I think it was worth it since it's now my DD therapy!
I dont get folks who pay markup. MSRP for an in demand vehicle, sure, but markup is insane. Widen your net to a couple hundred miles if need be. Certainly worth driving or flying for a few hundred dollars vs paying thousands extra.
You are the first person in the USA that I have heard got the car for under MSRP!
Any strings attached?
I ordered mine in June, delivered Dec 24. As I have more than one Bimmer I got the dealer to match the BMWCCA rebate, so all in all I will have paid $1000 below invoice. Can't wait for Spring to get it on the Autocross circuit and see how she really handles.
