Window dip in super cold weather...glass gets stuck to the rubber seal

Howdy all,

Took the CSi out today in super cold weather and when I opened up the passenger side door to put my bag the pass window made the usual sound as if the glass wanted to dip, but you could tell the window was stuck to the rubber seal. After a little bit of finagling I was able to get the door open and the window would dip normally. However, close the door again and the window would have a hard time dipping again. I can tell the issue is due to the cold weather (not battery issues since they're very new and fully toped off or GM as the caps have been replaced). So I was wondering if you all had any suggestions?

Not sure if it's maybe a dirty window? Or anything I can put on the edge of the window to prevent from getting stuck? The seal is in good shape and was Gummi Pfledged (spelling?) during the summer.

Brrr, I use either silicon spray on a rag, and wipe the seals, or Sil Glide, from NAPA.

Gummi Plege or however you spell it. Try claying and cleaning the windows as well and then throwing on a quality sealant like Klasse.

This is caused by small amount of water that is freezing in the seal, we get this every winter here in Finland.

If your temperatures do not fluctuate around 0C but stay well below the freezing point it will "dry out" after couple of days just by driving and having the heater on as you would at that temperature. Just put silicone to both sides yesterday...

Yeah, maybe its dirty windows that are causing some of this in the bitter cold. Will have to give them a good cleaning....after the snow blizzard that's apparently heading our way!
