Great. A good practice with a used TC is to flush it once it's been fitted. Have your indy drain it and fill with dexron 6 transmission fluid. Drive it a few miles and drain it. Refill with redline d4 or redline MTL. Since there is such a small amount of fluid it takes, i recommend a drain and refill at the same time you change your oil from that point forward. It will be very dirty the first few times. MTL is $20 and will last you 5 drain/fills if you change every 5k.
Got the car back with new/used TC installed with new fluid. Smooth.
But now there is a rattle. Looked under the rear end to see what was loose and the passenger side shock is soaking wet.
Recommendations for rear shocks?
Thanks again in advance..
If you dont want to buy oem, get Bilstein B4 Touring shocks. Very similar to OEM sport shock valving.
+1
And the Bilstein are about half the price of a BMW shock. I would also recommend replacing the upper shock mount and bump stop too.

I ordered a set of Bilsteins for the rear end per your counsel. Thank you! I neglected to confirm if they are B4's though. They were $104 per.
It depends on how much longer you plan on keeping the car. The bump stops are a condensed foam, so they fall apart over time, and the upper mounts are rubber, same thing there too.
I like to replace them all at once for nothing like having to go back to fix something you just had apart.
So if you plan on fixing and selling the car, nope, however if you plan on keeping the car for several years, then yes replace them too.

The new Bilstein rear shocks were slapped on today. The new transfer case and the shocks have this car feeling fantastic.
Thanks for the actionable advice. It restored my car and saved me loads of money.
