    Transmission pops out of 5th gear - 540i/6

    This happens when I'm driving only in 5th. I can easily remove it out of gear not running too so I guess that rules out motor/trans mounts as the cause. I replaced all the shifter bushings and the issue persists. Any help would be appreciated! Is this a detent issue or internal trans failure? Thank you all.

    EDIT- Ok, so just got back from a ride and it did not pop out of 5th. It was only my second ride after refreshing all the shifter linkage bushings so maybe they "settled" in the right position and solved my issue?? I'll report back here after a few more rides. Thanks again
