Drove mine!!!
Snapped off one of the long bolts on the lower timing cover. Bad news is I didn't even need to touch it, but I inadvertently put the ratchet on it instead of one of the lower bolts on the passenger side upper timing cover.
I am am replacing my Vanos with rebuilt units from Dr. Vanos, but now need to deal with this setback. I have some left hand drill bits and will attempt to spin the remnant out with one of them. I am not tackling the Jesus bolt again, so wish me luck and/or offer some other advice for addressing this screw up.
Glued the BMW Roundel Insignia back on to my Style 5 (Basket Weave's) hub cap since it fell off when I remounted the dedicated winter tires. I love the easy stuff.

Your current situation is not your final destination
Replaced my abs module with a new one. Changed throttle body gasket and front intake cover gasket which fixed my rough idle cold starts and engine misfire. It runs so smooth now. Still have to get my new abs module coded though....
Starting looking online for an e38 740il Sport yesterday, found this forum and joined today. (Any guidance on where I can find a clean 740il Sport for sale near the Houston, TX area would be greatly helpful.)
It snowed, and I did my first doughnut in the snow with the 750 today. With DSC off, it didn't take much to make it happen. It was fun, but I'd never do it on any other surface. Too much wear and tear. My boss tried to do it in her Subaru after watching me do it. Her car will not do one.
1999 BMW 750il - 128k, Black on Black - mods - bixenon retrofit, DUDMD tune, LED tail lights and side signals, euro front signals, updated trunk chrome, Mk4 navigation, TCU bluetooth, 3.15 diff, M-parallels, voice recognition, xboss homelink
Designed this up last night, looking forward to seeing how well it'll print off and fit on my trunk. Looking for other stickers that I can re-design based off photos if anyone's got em.

It's been a while since I've been on here but just yesterday I decided to finally bring my 98 e38 to another shop for a second opinion. I'm so excited I can't wait to get my baby back on the road.
On all the US E38s I've seen, that spot was occupied by the BMW Roadside Assistance 800 number.
The British one is definitely cooler and more relevant now that we're probably not covered by roadside assistance
Replaced a water cooled alternator on my friends e38
Body work on my 96 is beginning now
And the e32 is getting new wheels. Here is a teaser.
