On the alternate list for the Steedspeed TS mani, and luckily I still have my old 3.3L motor, that already had forged CP pistons, ARP2000 stud and the ported non-Vanos head. Going to throw some K1 rods in it, put my fresh Dr. Vanos on it, and get a cut ring to drop compression from 11:1 down to 9.5:1. I want to run a 6466, and will get the 115 e85 injectors and necessary fuel system upgrade to run big boost. I want 450whp on pure 91 and the ability to turn it up to 750whp on e85 .
    That sounds awesome

On the s52 I was seeing 18psi by 3800. It's pretty amazing how fast the s366 builds boost once it gets going. The data logs look ridiculous. Took like 150 rpm to go from like 4 to 18psi. I wish I had a chance to run 30+ psi on it with the s52. I would imagine it would hit 30 shortly after 4k. Very impressive $500 turbo to say the least. I can only imagine what the new sx-e can do with the fmw wheel and fancy 360° thrust bearing.

That does sound impressive. Anyone I've seen run them had them on a top mount though, not a bottom mount.

Well the new steed will fit it since it fits the efr9180, which is bigger (internal wg version anyway)

Any thoughts on an s366 with a billet wheel attached to the new CES manifold?

Someone sent me a link today to a sale on SXE lineup of turbos. How would I find the equivalent of say a 6466 or gt40 in those sizings? Do they come externally wastegated?

    Here's your sxe 6466 equivalent:

All s300 sxe turbos are externally gated as well

Sxe are externally gated, its easier to talk about turbo sizes in precision terms, basically you name the smaller of the 2 measurements one after the other, I believe the s366 sxe is 6673, the gt40 is 6768, 6466, my modified hx40 is 6764, the s366 spools very quickly for its size though.

The O.G. estoril/dove 4dr with the help of a 4088 to boot ^^ lol. His car reeeeeally packs a punch. I'm suprised you didn't get a chance to drive Harry's Low Comp Built s52 with the 6262 before he sold it. His low boost setting was ~16psi with around a 500whp figure when I took it for a rip. I have 2 in car clips on IG I'll tag you in for them boost noise motivationz lol

I've been talking to em both. Never got a chance to ride in Harry's car, but I did a quick couple pulls with him. Saw him hold off an 11 sec coyote with Jeff driving also

S366 looks like a nice bit of kit for the money plus you can upgrade billet wheel etc.

GTX4088R vs PT 6466...thoughts? Pretty much narrowed down to those two that I'd feel comfortable with as a first turbo.

Being TS manifold, running a divided .84 would choke the turbo. I did countless hours of research on this. He would be better off getting either the 1.0 6466 or dropping down to a 6266 with a 1.0 TS. What he gain in spool by running a .84 divided on a 6466 would wouldn't outweigh the loss up top. Therefore if he wants the early response , its better to drop down a size than choke a bigger turbo. Make sense ?

Basically I have come to the conclusion, you can have 700 wheel and lose the hard hit, or you can have 650 wheel and have the hard hit. Take your pick. Can't have cake and eat it too. Unless he can run E85 or race fuel, then he can have both with a 6266. Make 700 and have response with 27-30psi.

But there is no good that will come out of a 6466 with a .84 divided back housing.

You could try it, put a pressure gauge in line and make sure your less than 1.5X. I must have spent 100 hours trying to decided and figure out if a .84 would work.
