not really happy with the down pipes for a couple reasons, but mainly i think they look pretty janky. Im thinking im going to merge them over to one side to maybe a 3.5inch and just come out the bumper on one side. Itll work out better for the o2 bung location and i think itll look alot better

More excited for this than my own build. Makes we want to get a cheap 325 and put my old tahoe motor in it.

I'm a little fuzzy on the details, but they are found in early 90s 940 volvos and later 90s Ford Taurus. The Volvo is a little slimmer then the Taurus but same motor and fan. I know it takes more then 30 amps, and I've heard it flows around 4500 cfm.

like I said, I'm a little fuzzy on the details. I've heard these fans are sick and friend had one hanging around so it was free to me. A quick Google search will get you some good info.

they are about 18-20 inches around and 4 inches deep

If you're talking about the rad fan I believe it pulls around 2500cfm at the low setting and around 4-5500cfm on high. From what I remember they pull around 60amps! It's a dirt cheap fan and super effective.

edit; used to have one on my m52 e30, and that thing wouldn't hesitate keeping the car cool in the 120* Phoenix heat in rush hour traffic!

Yup, haha I picked mine up for 15 dollars at the yard. I wasnt aware the Volvo's used the same one, I knew they came in Taurus' and the lincolns for sure but never the Volvo's. Anyways I recommend it to anyone that is looking into a super cheap, super effective electric fan!

You will regret doing this twin turbo LS project. It looks cool but it is not practical and question is will it work as a long term. Just imagine how much heat will be under that hood, all the plastic parts will be cooking.
Downpipes will be a major hack job. You will hate it and regret it. Someone has to say it.

Dude your a joke. Your projects are a joke. Your basically doing what we all did when we were in high school.

but I'll keep you posted on the results.i have high confidence that my set up will work fine.

as for the down pipes, do you even fab? Or do yu just bolt in swaps and "tune" cars based off other people's work?

you don't have to answer, we all know the truth.

youll have a much better life when you drop this self entitled bullshit. I'd hate to have to deal with someone like you on a daily basis.

OP it was a valiant effort and you had a nice run, but hakentt has spoken. Pack it up and move on.

You had the same confidence with NOX and your blew the piston. You had the same confidence with drag tires and you blew the diff.

Why did you post your thread? For people to give you their opinions. I am giving you mine and is totally reasonable.

    1. Your a joke because you have this self entitled attitude that is completely un warranted. I have yet to see you do anything even worth mentioning, but yet you talk like everyone else is doing it wrong.

    2. I never blew a motor on the spray. It's actually the same motor that's now turbo. It did very very well on the spray. Made 390/390 on the motor with a 250 shot on pump gas. I'd say that's a win. The motor I blew was on start up from a faulty pressure regulator on a brand new oil pump.

    3. Your opinion offers no constructive criticizism. Your literally telling my project is a fail, which is funny, because again, you don't have enough expeiercne to say such things.

And further more, you posted a stock pwm fan that's completely controlled by the swap that you bolted in your car. That's not impressive, that's bolting shit together, and I'm not even sure what you are trying to show.

    - - - Updated - - -

And on another note, I hurt the diff with wheel hop on stock tires. When I put the Hoosiers on, I never had a problem again.

And honestly, if your cars not breaking shit, it's probably not fast.

Get the hell out of this thread, you have no business commenting on the OP's work. He's here actually achieving something that people care about AND he actually has the means to do it.

Thanks brotha. Its official, we are re-doing the downpipes. They didnt come out on the same level as the rest of the car.

Im thinking of bringing them down like they are now, bring the passenger side over to the drivers side and merge them to a single 4 inch and have come out the actual side of the bumper rather then underneath it.
