Went to a no prep, did ok.

Forst round- against a twin turbo ls rat rod. Put a couple cars on him

2nd round- up against a 400ci 88mm 1970 nova. Car was sick. I treed the shit out of him, very badly. I cut a .04, car came out like 10ft and smoked the tire. Then for some reason, I couldn't get the shifter into 2nd. He put like 3 cars on me while I banged limiter. Couldn't catch him.

then I put it into TNT and couldn't get the car to leave at all. Frustrated. Fastest pass was another 6.4 at 114

    - - - Updated - - -

And the nova won the whole thing

Brought the car to Mexico last night for some rolls.

    smacked up a built evo 8 on a 6466 on 38psi.

tried running a buddy with a built wrx on a 6870 on 40psi, but it smoked the tire badly on a 60 roll.

best part- 3 people in the car. Sedan life

I think the results are going to start coming in real nicely now. Are you feeling any less like selling the beast at this point (yet)?

blows tires off at 60 with 3 people in the car.

did this strike anyone else as being the coolest thing they'd read in a long while?

Lol it nailed the tires so hard, I thought it broke. Traction control with a 20% slip threshold is too much for the radials. Needs to be like 12%

Not at all. Once it goes 9.5, it's gone.

Spent all day yesterday test fitting different wheels. I need a 15x8 with a et40 or greater to fit a 275/50/15

Random photo dump from the last few weeks. Time slip is not the fastest. Its gone 114.5 on sub 18lbs. Havent tried the new tires yet at the track.

Also, put some 700pound springs in the rear and rolled the quarters more per suggestions from people smarter then me

What dampers are you using with the 700 lb rear springs? Did you notice an improvement?

Havent had hardly any runtime other then some street pulls and it seemed ok. Right now its on Koni yellows adjusted fully firm, but ive been talking to Viking about making a set of double adjustables for the spring rates im running. 250$/each, 4 day turn around.

    - - - Updated - - -

I figured ill try it as is. I know what the car 60fted before the springs and tires. If i can get back to that or better, im moving in the right direction. Then ill get the shocks.

So brought the car to the track on the new 275 radials and stuff springs. Also raised the launch boost and rpm and used timing retard based off time to reduce the power on the launch and quickly bring it back in.off the trailer it went my PB of a 6.2 at 114.then I just added 2 degrees and raised the launch rpm to 3800 and did thisI lifted after the 1/8th. Rolled a 10.3 lol

It's what I have been saying for years. Glad you fingered it out on your own. Also, in case you didn't know, you have an 8 sec car on your hands (potentially).

So here I am again, wanting to go faster, looking for someone to go racing with me today. New goal- 5.6 in the 1/8

i think I can leave with a little more power, and I got a lot more power to put in after the 60ft.

Wish I ran it out back on the 6.0 pass

    - - - Updated - - -

And shout out to someguy2800. We had a conversation not to long ago about suspension setup and I took some of his advise and shaved a tenth off my 60ft.

You should put the matching wheels on the front for the ultimate sleeper look.

    Tires looks awesome under there.

Still rubbing at all given the newer springs? Also, on a 1-10 scale, how much work was done to accommodate those in the wheel wells? I can PM if you like to get more details.

    Thanks!

No more rubbing. Had to raise the car a bit and roll the quarters but nothing crazy. Have to run a 10mm spacer and shave the caliper down but thats specific to the wheel, and to be honest, a 15x8 with a 6inch back space would probably work even better.

But the stiff springs helped me 2 fold for my car with the auto. With a manual, it will be more difficult to get to work. You will really be relying on the shock imo.

Shoot me a PM if you want, no worries.
