Man that thing is so wicked!! And drama free, from the outside of the car anyway. Looks like a Sunday drive.
It was smooth as butter.

So are you enthused with it yet, or not? Looks to me like there is probably quite a bit left to be had.
I think i could get the car to go 9.50's with out raising the boost. This was open loop boost control. It would leave on 3psi and it wouldnt be above 12psi until 50-60mph.
Ive now got the car in closed loop so im hoping i can bring in the boost more agressive and get the short track faster.
It went 6.4 at 112 to the 1/8th on the 9.9 pass. Because they kicked me out, if im aloud to go back it will have to be for 1/8th passes. If i can get it to a 6.2 i know it would go 9.6s i think.
Also, this is no trans brake. If you look at the video, the car is almost bottomed out before i even leave. I think if i come off the brake (and it doesnt break the car) it will gain

I think with the IRS it will unload the tires when it squats if you try to leave on the transbrake with any amount of boost. I think your probably better off foot braking if you can get it to hold on the line and get the boost in faster after you leave. With the suspension preloaded on the footbrake and maybe a stiffer spring in the back you can probably get it to hold more out of the hole.
So a couple of us put together a 1/8mile RWD class for the IFO event this coming weekend. Problem is that its the same track that just kicked me out, and im not sure they are going to take kindly to my car being there again.
But im going to try. Should be a good time. I gotta see if i can roll into the 2nd beam already on the antilag with the foot brake. If not, ill just have to go in first.

Also, l finally sorted through all my datalogs and realized i pulled 3-4 degrees from where it was on the dyno. So maybe ill add some back in before turning it up.

Is that IFO event like a track rental in terms of safety requirements (lack thereof)? That will be super cool if you can roll in on the antilag!
Went to IFO, entered a LS swap class and won with a 6.4 at 115. (1/8mile race) Tried some new things, some of them made things worse, but got my best 1/8 MPH in a 2200DA and 100degree weather on 18 psi. Shitty 1.6 60ft.
First pass of the day I really laid into the antilag. Let it go and it was on a mission. Probably was going to smash my best ET by alot, and then the ECU shut the car down due to low oil pressure.
Seems that the stories of the F body oil pans are true. When the car came out, the oil sloshed back and it dropped from its normal 60psi of oil pressure, to around 40psi, and the ecu shut it down. Thank god.
Added an extra quart and it didnt do it again, but i never left that hard again.
It left so hard, atleast 6 people came up to me after and told me that thing was movin. Sucks it shut down, but im glad it did.
Continued to add boost down low, if it comes on too quick, it smashes the tires at about 30-40 feet. Most boost i saw on an aborted run was 19-20psi
One pass it spun at about 40 feet, i pedaled it and got back into it and couldnt get the car sorted back out. Got a little sketchy at about 400feet and i had to lift. Got pretty close to the wall.

I forgot they don't make a 26x10 in the pro radials. I would also look at a 275/50-15 ET street R. It might be happier at that power level. They have a lot more sidewall than the hoosiers do. You trap the same in the 8th as I do at 28 lbs of boost so your probably making 1100 at the crank.
Allot of work needs to be done to fit a 28x10.5 under an e36 especially a sedan. I run the 255/60 15 et street r and even those rub when the rear loads up. I think the 275/50 will be a better fit for you

I think you are both right. I'll take a look at the et streets.
i need a wider wheel but don't wanna pull the quarters. I've asked erv like 50 times, and I'm looking for a 15x8 with a 5.5 back soace

Jegs sells wheels with the specs you need pretty cheap I'd look there first

Also the wheels on my car are 7inches wide. The smallest recommended width for the et streets is 7.5. Thoughts?

The wheels in the rear are already 15s, but they are only 7inch wide.
Weather and time permitting, I'm trying my first no prep event at Lebanon valley.
Plans- turn on traction control and never lift
