They're no longer common. When I was rebuilding my S62 in 2019, I looked into it, and there are precious few around. Adam had one, an early 00 motor, with high miles. M5 parts cars are drying up, too. The E39 is no longer an old BMW. It's starting to become a classic.

The gt3 is my roommates father's, his business took off and he was able to afford it. The zr1 and the Carrara belongs to his friends, they work at a shop called GMP in Charlotte. We had a car show at our college that was a charity event for toys for tots. They all came over for it then we went back into some of the mountain roads and had a blast.

What size wheels/tires are you running on the Chevelle? I have a staggered set (16x8/17x9) of Cragar S/S that I’m thinking of swapping out for staggered Rally II reproductions. The Rally’s with a red pin stripe are classic GTO.

Man stuff like that is so cool. Unfortunately looks like I'll never really get my hands on some old American iron. I'd love a 69 charger but man are they expensive. Figured it would be a cool restoration project with my pops. Current goal for a restoration is a datson 240z, he always loved those cars and when he had his I always worked on it as a kid. That was what started it all for me.

never say never. You might get lucky and stumble on a good deal. I like the 240z myself. Good friend of mine in high school drove one around while I was cruising in my Buick 307/4 barrel and lusting after an e30 M. I should have picked one of those up on the cheap 20 years ago…

Pulling the bed off of my pickup truck I inherited when my grandfather passed. 1994 f-150 with the 4.9 6 cylinder. Both fuel pumps are bad (its a twin tank truck) and the weight bolted to the back of the cab has come loose and is rattling. Thankfully the truck has minimal rust and none of the bed mounting bolts gave me an issue. Unfortunately it's an 8 foot bed and I can't sling off a longbed by myself so I guess I'm luring some of my buddy's over with beer.

Probably just going to hit it with a can of rust reformer, after power washing all the dirt and mud off its all surface rust. Nothing terribly concerning and no soft spots.
