What the??
Absinthe makes the tart grow fonder
Should buff right out ...
Yeah I hate it for the opposite reason. D-bag sellers who never respond becauze they either sold the item but won't take the ad down, or, are complete morons who don't know how to keep the CL emails from going in their spam box, or, are total scammers or psycho weirdos.
There's a guy w/ something for sale right now that I'm vaguely interested in but his ad is a crazy long whacko rant (after a different long rant about how great and super special his items are...) about how you better not god damn ask him how much he is asking for the thing or ask if its still available because then he'll delete all your emails and set fire to your car and send contract killers to take out your entire family rant rant rant rant rant and he ONLY WANTS TO TRADE FOR A GUITAR so DON'T ASK HIM HOW MUCH HE WANTS IN CASH YOU A-HOLES!!! despite the fact that of course if I or anybody wants to give him the right amount of cash he could go out and buy whatever stupid guitar he wants and have money left over for lunch and beer.
CL psychos.
Unfortunately with eBay going away from being a used-stuff-auction site, CL is the only thing left at the moment. I kinda feel we are waiting for a re-emergence of a better CL/eBay player at the moment. eBay used to work pretty well but they've decided they want to be all about retail sellers and mostly new stuff, and want to downplay and discourage the private-seller-garage-sale stuff that they were founded for.

What is the informal term for a roof box/cargo box that I can't think of? I've heard it before and haven't been able to remember it for about a month. Please stop me from going mentally insane... oops, too late.

Shout out to the debadged, silver E39 with black wheels driving on the 15 towards San Diego this morning. Your exhaust sounded great and your car looked awesome. Made my drive more bearable.

Frikkin craigslist. Always fun to waste 2hrs meeting up to find a counterfeit and have to listen to a phony “golly well I don’t really know cuz uh I got it from another guy” BS story.

Was an electric guitar. What's been happening these days is guys take real branded guitars, unbolt the neck, then screw it onto a generic body w generic parts, then pretend it's that's the original, while they part out the real-deal body and parts separately as "genuine parts". Because the neck is the only thing that's immediately eyeball branded and identifiable and has the SN on it, to a light eyeball and/or without disassembly, to a rube, the frankenjunk "partscaster" appears to be the real deal.
They also will fake the neck itself w a generic unit and apply repro decals to it but that's much harder to do convincingly.
This one was a decently nice real neck, but on a mediocre quality body with inaccurate routing for the hardware, and poorly assembled with bad screw setting etc. by whoever did it, and between those 2 issues the parts didn't really fit properly in several places. Maybe I should have bought it anyway just for the neck, and probably I should have made a low-ball offer at the very least, but the guy kept insisting it was real and proper and that he didn't want to negotiate and I didn't want to validate his scam by buying it.
