Did Hollywood approached you GG? How much did they pay you?
The new ECS Tuning website redesign is pretty nice. Finally cleans up the super busy interface. It could be a little bit more "wide", IMO, but it's fine. Also seems to be a little quicker, which is always a nice plus.

Yeah that’s pretty much where we were at lol... “somewhere behind the liner” lol... good to see you’re around mr grinder....
I’m about to buy a pre built E36 race car... S52 swapped 318ti (332ti ), built and used by a buddy of mine (active duty marine)... street legal and registered, super lightweight (~2400lbs with driver IIRC)... all it needs is racing seats (I know right :0) but still... turn key fun project car... he upgraded to an S52 M Roady track car... well known car to me and others, it was actually his wife’s track car and he had an Ls E36 (357i)... should be fun... manageable power, don’t have to worry about flying off track when going on throttle... and I can always add boost later so... I’m gonna go for it
That Volvo and that tire setup is pretty damn handy really... I’ve had to nudge people off the road before with my 1988 740GLE... peoples/friends cars - stuck (Surprised I can honestly say it’s happened at least 2 times for sure) on the roadway...
once I actually had a friend who started pushing his 97 Camry up against the Volvo and the then RWD 4000+ lb steel frame Volvo said “Nope we are going THIS way sir...” I had him all 4 wheels locked sliding down the street before he threw mercy... lol good times... that Volvo bumper (altho a totally different setup from the whole “crumple zone” thing) are super solid and safe (if you’re the one inside the car at least :0 ;D)
Cool - those ti's seem to be popular for track cars. They are a funny little car, "E36/5", I believe its sorta more or less an E30 rear suspension, w E36 front end? The guy I used to use for alignments has raced those every weekend just about for years. An S52 is still a goodly amount of power on those, for sure though. I think you can get yourself sideways with not too much difficulty still...

Huh - yeah, it is an improvement. Though not completely different, which actually is a good thing. I HAD noticed that the Turner site changed (just a false-front brand skin for ECS anyway...) and thought it improved a bit.
Thankfully they skipped the ultra shi77y "SUPER FLAT DESIGN MINIMAL MINIMAL MINIMAL" era where all web sites tried to be as pared down as a blank Google page and in the process made their sites between nearly to fully useless. Fork all that "flat design" in their crusty waste disposal orifices.
Our retirement/investment company has one of those sites and its virtually impossible to find a thing you want because there are no buttons or menu choices. One of the worst sites I have ever been forced to use. But of course since they just overhauled it a few years ago in the peak of the "FLAT FLAT MINIMAL" frenzy... we are stuck with it for a while.
I'll take a website from 2005 100x out of 100, over one of those over-the-top-minimal crap sites where suddenly there's actually no functionality or its so hidden in the minimal that its impossible to find unless you're on the design team.
Menus are good. So are very clear clickable buttons or text so you know what to do. People know how to use them.
Explanatory text is good. It tells people what a damn button / hotspot does.
Arcane conceptual crap like three hover text / hotlink arcane photo images saying "LEARN" "ACTION" and "ENGAGE" or whatever trumped up stupidity some design team invented while smoking genetically modified Sativa with a crystal meth snowball are pretentious insult to your userbase. WTF a-holes, I just want to sign in, look at my account, and check my previous order or whatever, get this "LEARN ACTION ENGAGE" crap out of my face. Thankfully a lot of that stuff seems to finally be dying off with some common sense vs. the inside-the-bubble Silicon Valley groupthink we had to suffer with for a few years there...

The forums generally feel like they're from 05, but they could still use a little tidying up in places. I like the Apple.com site for how to do tasteful and workable "of the now" design.

WTF. that is ridiculous. I mean, appreciate the effort, and love that its RWD.... but.. only 420hp? (that's what guy says in video, the YouTube title is clickbaited...) Crapload of work to only get that kind of power and have all that noise and heat and terrible throttle response! Hand throttle too? That seems ill-advised... Weird build.

Amazing what a motivated deer that wanted to see what it was like fly, can do to these newish crapcan Mercedes CLA’s. He learned how to land too... flew right through the windshield, ended up in the right seat.

Ha!
Prolly something like there's a vac leak causing super high trims and lean code... but then you shut it down, and on a cold start with cold enrichment, the super trim + cold enrich turns out to be too rich... Or maybe the vac leak also comes & goes... Or maybe an injector is acting up in an unpredictable way... (sticks open, sticks closed...)
Scan it with proper BMW (Mini) software so you can find out what that P1497 is. It might be something more revealing if you get the proper text for it.
