Man, you guys sound rough. Start taking care of yourselves, eh? I kid, I kid. I'm an overweight middle aged man who also makes lifestyle promises to myself. :P

I built a fence over the last few weeks. I posted it to my stupid website where I'm going to start documenting my diy stuff. The primary focus of the site is to help me find a job. I want to make it look like I'm not afraid to take on a project. I haven't uploaded any e39 stuff yet, but it's coming.
    https://www.andystuff.com/home/privacy-fence

I had promised myself that I was going to smoke some dino ribs (beef short ribs) after I finished that pickup truck, but the guy that mows my lawn invited us over for dinner, so I smoked a brisket instead. I then took on this fence project, and again I promised myself I'd smoke some dino ribs. Well I finished the fence yesterday and bought the ribs today. I had to travel out of town to the big butcher shop to get them. Super expensive, but I'm pumped.

So I don't go out much. The e39 is my daily driver and ever since I got laid off on December 30, I've filled up the gas tank twice. I'm almost due for another fill up, but whatever. Anyway, I'm driving back from picking up ribs and the mild traffic I'm in starts slowing down because of road work. This little yellow 3rd gen Ford Focus comes up behind me and passes me. We're both stuck in the same slow moving traffic as we cross the bridge, but as soon as it frees up, most people take the exit, but we keep going straight. Usually this is where I usually give it some throttle to liberate myself from being caught in construction traffic. Well, the little Focus does too, so I keep up with him.

The road we're on is a highway type road where the 4 lanes are separated by a huge grass median. Traffic is super light too, and all the other cars we encounter are at stop lights, so conditions are perfect. After the bridge, the road goes up hill for a mile or so until a stop light. I keep up with him and pull up behind him at the stop light. I notice he's got a little snail sticker on the rear window and his exhaust is annoyingly loud. The light turns green and he normally drives through the intersection and opens it up, and I keep up with him. He starts breaking away and I start to think I'm going too fast so I slow down. We're like the only 2 on the road, but I start worrying about hidden cops. We approach the next stop light, which is actually my turn off, but I wanted to see if we could do it again. So I pull up behind him again, but this time he guns it as soon as the light changes. I keep up, and I'm having a great time, but I look down and we're doing 100mph, but at this point I'm getting further from home and that's fast enough so I take the next exit. As I was passing him I tried to wave, but he refused to make eye contact. Kind of a bummer, but it was fun.

The ribs turned out great! I'll probably not be smoking them again though. Ridiculously rich and really expensive.

Nice job on the fence, you deserved those ribs.
Hope you find a job soon.

Yabbadubbadoo!!! It’s Friday! Wait a minute..... That’s freakin Fred Flintstone, I’m getting goofy in my older age.

So yeah, ScoobyDoos are Subaru’s, and KIA’s are Killed In Action, come place your loved ones in our overpriced Hyundai’s, and they can become a statistic..... That would make for great marketing....

    Happy birthday, youngster.
How you making out on the vanos swap?

Probably find all you wanted to know about dry aging on Google.

We just got back from TexasRoadhouse, had a nice 12 oz ribeye.
I usually get the filet but decided to try something different this time.

Got a tri-power setup and cam for those? They were pretty quick street fighters back in the late 60’s.
    IIRC a stock 340 w/tri-power put out about 290HP.

Fast forward to my LS3, only 37 more cubes and it puts out 430HP.

Still dealing with wheels, looking like another 2 weeks. If I knew it was going to be this bad I would of fixed the stock ones.....

Turns out these wheels don't come in the advertised center bore, doesn't exist. That was after the whole tire fiasco. So now I'm getting a diffrent offset sent my way in order to run adapter spacers. It ain't perfect but at this point if its round and turns going down the road I don't care what I have to do.

These paperweights are frustrating to see every day.

Gentlemen, ladies, whatever one you feel is applicable to yourself. I have now moved on from community College and got accepted at a university for full time! Electrical engineering is what I'm going for but I might double up and take mechanical as well.
