I'm selling my 2001 330Ci today. We've been together for 17 years. I have a 2018 M240i on order. Sad day.
I sold my beloved Fritz, my 2001 330Ci😩.

I replaced both front control arms and the control arm bushings, replaced the blower motor resistor, changed the oil and installed smoked corners.

I backed it in to the driveway as the rains have begun. Not because I won't be driving it, but because it's a Cabriolet and they hold water in the roof compartment if parked at the slightest of uphill angles.
Replaced the original fuel pump/sender assembly that stopped working at 155,887 miles. The soundproofing material was a bit of a mess -- many small broken pieces, with other large sections sticking to the foam underside of the seat cushion. Straightforward for me, educational for my wife who assisted me on a car repair for the first time in over 30 years.

Got an //M3 steering wheel. May be getting rid of my ZHP 6 speed shift knob...
2001 BMW 330 CI
2006 Merc C230
Replaced the radiator's coolant expansion tank and the thermostat and level switch that fit inside the tank.

Replaced both tail lights with clear/red aftermarket OEM lookalike ones.
Fixed driver side outside door handle with the ol' one zip tie fix. Works like a champ.
Topped off oil with half a quart.
Changed the front pads and rotors, both hood gas springs, and the AC tensioner/pulley. Finally figured out the awful noise I was getting with the AC on was a piece of cardboard that somehow knife-edged its way past the grill and wedged itself in the auxiliary fan.

Replaced the radiator, water pump, thermostat, tensioner, serpentine belt, both trunk lid gas springs.

Just placed an order for all four wheel bearings, radiator expansion tank, new headlight lenses and ancillaries, braided clutch line. just about to place an order for brake set with braided steel lines. After 17 years and 210,000 miles, I think the rubber lines have surpassed their useful lives and since I'll be in there anyway to replace the bearings... Hopefully it all gets here in time for Memorial Day weekend.

Installed GROM Bluetooth on daughter's 01' e46 vert. Works great, but its obvious the bass level is distorted some. I guess Ill be installing the AUX cable if I want excellent audio.

Cursed at the dang drivers window regulator I got from ECS (the aftermarket one with the premium bearings etc) . Second failure in about as many years.
They only seem to last a year before the spool dies. Rest of the ting is great... if the spools weren’t shit.
Now I have to cut the cables to get the regulator back out when the spool dies so I can install another one.. Guess it is back to OEM for me.
If I were to give my Touring a first name, I'd probably name it "Alan".
Mostly because I like puns.

Rebuilt the double vanos unit on my ZHP today. Been dealing with the rattle sound for a while, but broke down when the seals went bad as I lost low-end performance and the car started idling terribly. Now it idles perfect again and the car is quick again!!! Also changed front passenger window regulator. The regulators on these cars seem to go bad every 2 years or so...Vanos Rebuild 2.jpgVanos rebuild.jpg
Replaced the last OEM BROSE (Breakable Regulators Our Standout Expertise) to go on the 2004 325i (right front as well), going this time with an Amazon $29 model. (A-Premium Power Window Regulator Without Motor for BMW E46 323i 325i 325xi 328i 330i 330xi Front Right Passenger Side)
The rear plastic clip securing the regulator to the glass was a little touchy but snugging up the bolt got the clip to lock in, so we'll see how long this one lasts.

Over the past couple months I replaced most of the suspension. What started simply as all wheel bearings, rotors, pads and braided steel brake & clutch lines with a few ancillaries morphed into:
- Wheel Bearings (FAG brand)
- Slotted UUC rotors
- Hawk street performance pads
- New parking brake components
- UUC braided steel brake and clutch line
- CDV delete (why oh why did I just learn of this vs. 17 years ago when I bought it)
- GKN Axles
- Differential output shaft seals
- King pin (steering knuckle) - Genuine BMW
- Bilstein shocks & struts (The H&R springs still looked good)
- ECS Tuning rear shock mount support
- Strut mount (Lemforder)
- Front control arms, inner & outer tie rods and stabilizer bar links (Lemforder)
- Coolant expansion tank, bracket and upper radiator hose (all genuine BMW)
- Lower air intake scoop (don't know how long it's been missing)
- BF Goodrich G-Force Comp 2 tires and of course and alignment
- Replaced windshield cowl that's been taking up space in my garage for a couple years.
- Replaced headlight lenses and related gaskets

Still have a bit of a clunk at low speeds, especially when turning. I guess I'll need to check bushings to figure out where it's coming from but for now I'm just going to drive it. It's been way, Way, WAY to long since I drove it.

Replaced both control arms and bushings, replaced Wheel bearing and hub and flushed coolant system and replaced upper and lower hoses and expansion tank!!!! Hopefully next paycheck she will be getting new tires and an alignment!!!!
Changed the control valve (11727553066) and air injection hose (11727555681) causing a P0411 code (secondary air injection system incorrect flow detected) that was triggering a check engine light. Hose had definitely deteriorated.
