Wash and a wax job! Looks great!
Replaced the front, passenger window regulator--didn't even get the air bag light! Now I can stop worrying it'll go down but not back up at the worst possible time. Now, if only that dang fan wrench would come in, so I can do my fan delete...
Yayyy! My fan tools came in, so I removed the mechanical fan. Tomorrow, I'll install my new electrical fan and get the bumper off so I can remove the auxiliary fan.
Removed the bumper and replaced the auxiliary fan. I broke the connector to one of the horns (fixed with super-glue), but the most frustrating part was getting the damned plastic cover off the radiator. It was held on by some sort of screw-type push-fasteners that wouldn't yield without exploding into smithereens under brute force and a torrent of cursing (replaced with standard push-fasteners like the ones in the trunk which worked GREAT). The fan went in and the bumper went back on without incident.
I test-drove it this morning while still cool (58 deg), and I must say the old girl was pulling mighty strong and sounding good. I daresay she's got a little more life in her in all gears, but not much--a little more here and a little more there will add up is the plan.
Picked up a set of style 73's for $100! They have a couple curb spots but they're not bad. Abd they came with a set of almost dead blizzaks on them. I cleaned them up really good(so much brake dust built up i used a power washer haha). Painted then gloss black and they're mint! I'm loving the look they have!
My 2004 beauty has not a bit of rust (originally from North Carolina), but it's hard to avoid here in Vermont... I rubbed many of the most problematic seams (doors, hood, and trunk) with motor oil.

Yesterday, July 3rd, was my 2001 330Ci's birthday! He was "born" on July 3, 2000! I treated him ("Fritz") to an oil and filter change. I put Redline 5W-30 oil in his crankcase. He's smiling!
Replaced the fuel filter for the second time at 141662 miles, and put on three new 2¼ inch runs of 8x13 fuel-injection rated hose and six new hose clamps.

Installed OE tvtuner, and a 5v modded digital to analog converter box.
If I were to give my Touring a first name, I'd probably name it "Alan".

Buffed my entire car with scratch remover. Looks better then ever. Also sanded my headlights and got them looking brand spaken new.
Wrapped my A pillars with 3M 1080 vinyl (deep black matte)--looks soooooooo much better. Getting those #$%#&@ pillars out was a bitch--incurred some minor damage but luckily isn't noticeable. Of course, I had to order replacement cover strips at $20 a whack (not counting shipping)--what a rip off!
Wrapped m C pillars this morning--lovely. Eventually, I'll do my B pillars, but they're in pretty good shape and don't scream inconsistency (at least to me). While it's not miracle material, that 3M 1080 vinyl (with adhesive back) is very good stuff--even over the porous "felt" surface under the OEM covering. Of course, the roughness shows through a bit, but the matte black hides the imperfections well. Just remember to use a blow dryer with it.
I spit on it for costing me a lot of money to repair..lol
Finished my A pillars by snapping in the new cover strips--looks mighty nice.

Changed out front control arms and front sway bar end links.
Used "Dr. Color Chip" to fix a bunch of road rash on my hood--looks much better.
Replaced the front and rear brake pads with Mintex semi metallic, the rotors with Pagid High Carbon, and flushed the brake fluid with Pentosin DOT4 LV.
Just ordered a "new" armrest for my 325i. Can't wait to swap my cracked one out!

Just checking in on my thread... Glad to see it has been a success... My M54 oil consumption has literally gone to 0/3k+ and counting, ever since I got a new VANOS hose and oil filter housing gasket... Running 5w-30 now instead of 0w-40... Picked up some 5qt jugs of liquimoly for all three cars... Changed the oil on E46 and cleaned wheels last weekend... Measured every drop I put in I got back 5k miles later....
