I think that's an illusion of the lighting highlighted by the dark slot between the doors. The paint on the sill matches both doors.

I don't think so. It might be the lighting, or the angle? In person it looks to match perfectly.

Polish up those headlights, fix some rock chips, and take a new back seat pic without junk in it, and you'll probably sell it faster.

I didn't see where it said more reliable. I saw that it said, more or less, ... a less complicated engine than the M5.

But, the price is into M5 territory.

I mean, the M62tu is a much less complicated engine than the S62, he's not wrong about that. That doesn't guarantee more reliability though, since the M62tu has its own flaws. Though I guess the seller thinks the M62tu is more reliable because he's never owned an S62 and only heard the horror stories from other noobs.

Also, way overpriced, even for an 03 M-Sport 6-speed with guides done. Tan interior isn't a great selling point either.

That's actually not a bad price, especially if the owner has the receipts to back it up. Heck, it's worth it for the supercharger alone— you could take the supercharger off, clean the car up a bit, and sell it as a 540i/6 for like $6k.

Only thing wrong with it is the flat black roof. Cars been on there for a few weeks now. It is priced pretty fair.
