I was able to use a bunch of the factory holes and studs and just used rubber isolated hose clamps. Not like regular clamps, but a clamp around the line with a hole.
im tired and I'm sure they have a sweet name but I can't remember it. Maybe I never even knew it. what ever man

Anyone try these with E85? They don't list E85, but hell.. people run factory lines with E85 so given the price I am really tempted to give these a try...

Not sure if this helps but here are my super accurate and highly detailed afpr routing schematics
(My car is a 95 325 obd1 still so square rail and stock fpr underneath like later cars so ymmv)
(Found this drawing again recently and thought I'd share rather than trash it)
The aeromotive 13129 is what I used, nice compact piece - cheap like $120ish new and has been just great for nearly a year so far. Should do e85 as well:
1995 325i | OBD1 S52 | S50 cams | AA Turbo TD06 20g / 42lb / Porsche maf | .140 MLS | F1 s3 clutch | Ultimate SSK | AKG 75D subframe/diff bushings | 3.23 LSD | Powerflex LCAB/RTAB | e46 fca | Raceland coils | BMP rear arms | DEPO HID | AEM Failsafe | Aeromotive FPR | Walbo 255 | 3" Magnaflow muffler/cat/res | 17x8.5/9.5" 225/45 & 255/40
The rubber isolating clamps are called Adel clamps
If you use -6 hard line, it will fit in the stock fuel line holders.

Does anyone here with a TIG want to add 6AN fittings to my OBD1 rail? Preferably someone who has done it before and knows what works? Lemme know a price and maybe we can work something out

These are the fittings I used

And these are the hose

Pretty easy to work with, much easier than the braided lines. So far so good. I basically used the diagram posted above, 8an feed and 6 return with rallyroad double pump hanger and fuel rail.

Alot of the newer non PTFE AN hose is E85 compatible. I have all summit rubber AN hose and fittings in my car and have never had a problem. I called them before I bought it and they said its ethanol rated. The PTFE hose is the best but its expensive and the fittings are a pain in the ass. I am a bit weary of pushlock hose as I have seen it pop off the fitting under pressure if they get hot, once resulting in a fire. I would put a hose clamp on any push lock fittings myself.
E85 better be worth it for all this hassle !

So first today I did some cleaning. Gas tank was filthy. Here is a before and after. Slowly getting the underside of my car looking pretty agaib.

Then since I wanted to split my return between both sides of the tank, opposed to only the drivers side, and I am too poor to buy a early model hanger, I did this.
The later model hangers had a filled in nipple where the return went on earlier models. I cut the nipple off, drilled it out, and then tapped it with a 1/8npt tap. Then put a fitting in it. I will get a npt->5/16 barb and epoxy it in for the final install. This return dumps just on top of the fuel pump pick up so it's perfect.

My first exposure to pushlock was a remote oil filter rig and the hydraulic shop handed me hose and fittings that needed no clamps. It did my head in! What? No clamps? 60psi of hot oil and no clamps? But they never even so much as weeped any oil, so I was convinced from then on.
The caveat here is - as said above - some of those hoses are not rated for certain duties. Sure, still pushlock, but the specs of the hose will tell the story. Always use proper brand name hose though because their is a lot of 'Series 400' (etc etc) hose that ISN'T actually branded (Aeroflow, in this case)and could well be below spec. That said, even Aeroflow 400 says to use hose clamp (AF444) on EFI systems, oil systems, and where temp is above 70C. So for an E85 EFI system, something like Aeroflow 450 Series would be the ticket because that uses hose ends much like the PTFE SS braid system and the hose is E85 rated.
YMMV!

The two failures I have witnessed with pushlock hose were both on drag cars. On one a car blew one of the hot side oil cooler hoses off and oiled down the whole track and made a big smoke show. I walked over to see what happened afterward and they showed me the pushlock hose that had popped off. The other car blew a tranny cooler line while sitting on the transbrake which resulted in a fire. The guys at the track were on the ball with the fire extinguishers and got it out very quickly. I didn't see it myself but someone else told me they had pushlock on there trans cooler lines. Its pretty well known in the racing community that pushlock should not be used on trans cooler lines as it will pop off when it gets hot enough. Its probably fine for fuel line but I would personally put a hose clamp on it anyway.
So i have now converted two people in this thread to the corn juice. You are both welcome :wink
