That doesn’t look like a set of DSS axles.
And yet you have money for fancy wheels! Nice purchase, a comfortable wheel goes a long way. Super happy with mine.
Also guessing no airbag/clockspring anymore? I have a bolt in harness (think it's a schroth) that would fit your coupe id sell dirt nasty cheap! It doesnt fit my sedan

Hah a $70 wheel is a lot easier to afford than a set of $1000 axles.
Lmao

If you get tired of working on the car and need some chinese food to power thru, i just found the perfect way to reheat the rice. Put it in a sealed container with a little water added and microwave on half power for about 3 minutes

looks like a fat camel toe.
Damn funny stuff in here all the sudden.
just mesmerizing
Love the new wheel. 330mm. Feels fantastic, a lot nicer than the OE school bus steering wheel. I feel it suits the car well.
Car is back driving again btw.

So I replaced my axle shaft (drivers side) with a new (used one). I noticed before I installed it the outter CV joint felt kind of weird and was binding a bit. I put it in anyways.
Car drives perfectly fine in a straight line and around gradual turns. However at parking lot speeds making really tight low speed turns I can hear a rotational grind from the rear end. I got under my car and the passenger side axle shaft is able to be extended and compressed. The drivers side shaft wont budge, its frozen. Could this be causing the sound I described.
I was a little bit worried about the condition of my diff after driving 60 miles on one shaft. I changed the fluid and while it didn't look great, it didn't look awful.
Input?
I went out racing last night and pulled pretty hard on a 750whp V. Its fine in a straight line.
Both the cvs should float a little bit. It's possible it lost most of its grease and the balls are worn into the housing so they no longer plunge like they should.
Can you get a rough estimate of axle length with a tape measure when it's sitting under its own weight? Is possible the diff is shifted one way as well but the cvs should have a solid inch they can float
The drivers side axle (one I replaced) is noticeably shorter than the passenger side. I got a tape measure under there best I could and while I couldn't get a accurate measurement, I was able to get it good enough to know its shorter. I can also see the boot on that side totally compressed.
Diff is perfectly centered. I'm sure of that.
