Road racers think drag racers are dumb rednecks, I think drifters are a bunch of hoodlums, street racers think I'm a puss for only racing on the track, I make fun of roll racers for having no traction, circle track racers think girls race on pavement and men race on dirt, everybody hates hondas, mud truck racers can't spell there name, v8 guys think bmw guys are rich boys, we think mustang people kiss there sisters, etc...
Lmao...

No?
I was just wondering if anyone had some pics handy. It's not that important I'll figure it out when I put the wheels on.
It's ideal for a DIY FORUM to show the actual DIY.
They've been performing this mod for 10 years...and no pics shown/offered for actual caliper area to be shaved.
Just saying.
With 328 Sport (five double spoke) 16"s, no shaving needed?

I'll post pics of whatever hack-ery I do. 16s clear fine, it's 15s that dont.
You need to grind the vanes off, you will see what I mean. Also we needed to use a 10mm spacer iirc. But the vanes were the problem.

A post/photo from Adam, local Noreth Maerican drag god.
He didn't leave ANY shit on that one.
Dammmmmn he went to town lol
He really did:
Put an auto in it and you won't need a 210mm
Or run bias ply slicks. But many of us don't want a 1970s 3 speed auto for daily driving or bias ply slicks. I'd consider the C4 with a gear vendors overdrive but that is an expensive combination since the C4 needs to be built to handle the power and the gear vendors od is also expensive.
Sounds like a 4L80e is what you want then. Will they fit in the E36 tunnel?
Just watched Greg go through the process of getting a nhra license due to sub 10 second or 135+mph. I won't hit sub 10 but have been doing 135+ for 3years. I want no part of that crap. Dude has to get into a space suit and had to have all kinds of crap to go make a pass. My drag racing days maybe over ; (

With a 2.93 to 3.25 gear and a small motor you wouldn't have much use for an overdrive. A high stall converter acts alot different than you may be used to with stock auto transmissions and converters, the gear ratios in the trans aren't all that important because the torque multiplication by the stator extends the gear ratios. On a street pull from a dig if the converter is setup right it will flash to 6600 rpms or whatever in first gear and basically flatline until the input shaft speed catches up to the turbine, then climb to 7200, then shift to 2nd and it will fall to 6600 again and slowly climb to 7200, then shift in high and run it out to whatever. You wouldn't be shifting to 2nd till 60-70 mph and high gear would be like 110 to 120. I do understand and appreciate that not everyone is only interested in straight line pulls.
