I have no idea what these guys are on about, a friend has a SC'd M40 and hes put a 6 PSI Spring and got just that, then swaped to a 10 PSI spring and got 10 PSI. Dont see how 12 PSi spring is 24PSI through a boost controller since the wastegate's job is to let boost out beyond the spring set, but oh well whatever rocks the boat. In that case I am also in 24 PSI..

^^Its not. Its still a 12 psi spring, the EBC bleeds off air. Look up how an EBC works.

Boost controller applies pressure to keep the gate closed. You can usually double the spring pressure with an ebc.

EBC? we northerners ain't got no EBC money. we rock some MBCs like bosses. (well, i used to back when i had any B to C)

and the BC (E or M) bleeds off pressure between the turbo/reference and the WG to prevent the wastegate from opening
always trying to make it lighter and faster

Superchargers regulate boost through sizing the pullies. There is no way to cheat (though a few have used wastegates or blow off valves to bleed off some of the superchargers output before it enters the engine, reducing boost.

Turbos by the spring in the wastegate that bleeds off exhaust gas that would otherwise keep feeding the turbo. But boost pressure is also fed to the wastegate to help lift the spring. People use manual or electronic boost controllers to bleed off some of the boost pressure that would otherwise help lift the spring. This keeps the wastegate closed longer, allowing more boost.

Like I said. There are different types of fittings on the end of the pump. The first one is like the original fuel pump. My walbro uses the second type. If you don't have a sock that will fit just buy a super cheap kit for the parts and toss the pump in the trash.

    This type. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Flextech-340...BVsbxu&vxp=mtr

    Or this type. http://www.ebay.com/itm/High-Pressur...tV-2JR&vxp=mtr

I'm being totally serious. You get used to the power fast. There is a reason guys are chasing 700, 750, 1000 hp. It's cause 500 wheel just don't get em off no more. Not even a grin.

Well hopefully I'm the exception to that rule. Because 10psi felt insane. Never experienced anything like that. The power delivery was ridiculous. So different from NA.

The cheapest way to make a car feel like you are going really fast is to install crappy tires.

You are at 10 psi on what engine and what turbo?

13-14 psi is my low boost rain setting. If I've been driving for a bunch of days on that setting it starts to feel peppy again...... Then when I switch back to 20 psi it feels fast for a couple of days.

Haha I've got good tires, just not good enough for the power I guess. I also think I need to get rid of some negative camber. I'm running 1.7 in the rear.

    Tires are 245/40/17 x4 contisport contact3.

    I'm at 10psi on a 86.6mm s52 and a borg warner s256sx.

Agree. I didn't want to drop the coin on triple 8's , so I went 140 rated R1R's from toyo. They work very well for not being R compounds. Very well. I can hold 2nd gear in 60°+ weather, and 3-5 no problem. Rain is good too.

I think I will go with those. Look reasonable. Should I get 245s again or go wider ?
