Hvlp spray gun, but I have a lot of Boston green base laying around. For a small project a rattle can would be easier.

Couple of the pistons have this weird rectangular area on the oil ring land that's missing. Not sure if this is normal or what.. only like this on a couple pistons

Was there any signs of damage or strange wear on the oil rings on that piston vs the others?

No, all the rings looked perfectly fine to me. Two pistons have this, and the rectangle is so perfect and uniform it looks machined.. but it's only on two pistons. Weird..

Perhaps a start-stop pocket for the lathe tool.

I've had a few questions about my scavenge set up.

Here are the details : off the turbo I have a small aluminum res. with an 8an fitting on it. From there I run 8an braided lines to and from the pump.

I mounted my pump on my x brace (welded a small piece of 1/8" plate) and drilled two holes In it and bolted pump to that) I have the pump wired to ignition on so whenever the key is ON the pump runs.

    Here are some pics
Here is the x brace bracket (upside down in this pic )

That is an eBay pump, $60 cheapo. But I bought a turbowerx that will be replacing it.

Ebay pump worked great it was just loud as shit and I couldn't stand it and more.

The tank is just a custom welded aluminum tank. It's roughly 3" long 2" wide and 2" tall. It has a threaded bung on top which I screw the turbo drain fitting into and then bolt to the turbo and a bung on the side with an 8an fitting that goes to the pump.

I can get close up pics of the tank if you want!
