Also, no it wasn't just a lifter tick or exhaust leak lol. Chikinhed is just being a troll :p
While using his name like this it also sounds like you're insulting him so it really works out in this context hahaha.

In before he assembles a fully built engine, maxes out the new turbo and decides he needs a bigger one.

Was it the piston hitting the crank or the rod hitting the bottom of the bore?

So 4 out of 6 rods are bent. 5 & 6 are bad, 1&2 are kinda of tweaked.

Bad news is, 6 piston is ruined. Crank and bore look fine, bearings all look great, but this puts a huge dent in my project.

Here next to a piston that is OK. All the pistons aside from 6 are fine.

Well that sucks that you damaged a piston.... Remind me again why you used stock rods with forged pistons? Just seems like an odd thing to do.

Because 350-400whp was going to be enough to satisfy me forever. Same reason I bought a 56mm turbo.

What brand of pistons at they? You will need the build sheet for them if you want only one or two made. If they are CP then you are looking at a ten week lead time unless you want to pay a big buck 'I want it now' surcharge.

Next time I buy pistons I'm almost tempted to buy 8, just in case.

They are Arias pistons. I haven't called them yet to see if they can make one. But I do not have the spec sheet. So I'm feeling kinda screwed here. I cannot afford a set of 6 pistons right now, nor the machine work for it. Kinda bummed..

Spoke to arias , cannot buy one piston.

So I need another set of pistons.

I'm thinking I could get a set of JE 86.5mm pistons and new rings and just do a light honing of the cylinders. Does this sound reasonable?

I mean if I buy new pistons I should probably use the rings that come with em?

I agree but if the specs match you wouldnt have to rehone.

A ballhone would be sufficient if you do rehone for new pistons.

A set of wiseco's from Real Street performance will be about $740 after using there 10% off promo code. I got mine in 3 weeks when I ordered them last year. If I was in your shoes honestly I would just get wiseco to make me one piston in a similar compression ratio and ball hone that cylinder.

He may have to take a bunch of weight off the other pistons to get them in balance or visa versa.
