I can only dream of having a garage.
Sweet Randy, very impressive....
I'll tell you what, I'm really envious of the every-day garages where people seem to have been able to make space for all the family stuff that typically accumulates in a garage (bikes, toys etc), AND their Z....
I need to clean the heck out of my garage!
My wheel bolts require more torque than your honda makes.
I'm loving this thread and need to see more! I'm remodeling my two car with workbench space this summer and need more ideas. So far Islandsbest is right where I want to see my garage too. Love the color scheme as well.
What's the minimum head room needed for a lift? I have three cars and a motorcycle that need space under a two car roof.

Aside from these three I have to park a 2015 Jeep Wrangler too

Small, medium, large.
The main reason I bought this house (my wife's was the kitchen).
Zed's dead baby. Zed's dead.
I had this 2-post in a 9'3" high garage in Ohio. You'll notice that the very top of the column(s) protrude into the space between ceiling joists (lift-specs misleading, as it should've fit, but this was an easy fix and eventually dressed off with a framed opening). If you go on garagejournal.com, you'll see this practice was not an original idea, as others have concealed the overhead-type lift's cables & hose in the attic (not an option in my case, as the master bedroom was over the garage, with the lift being directly under our bed).
Same lift, new garage (10'4"? ceiling) When building in Florida, I made damn-sure that ceiling height (and pad thickness) were taken into account!
New overhead lift in detached garage (12'4" ceiling)
I believe that 4-post lifts require less ceiling height__though you still need to verify that the all-in height allows for two (2) cars__but they also have a much bigger footprint. I also feel that if you're getting the lift for working on the car, a 4-post wouldn't be ideal, as you'd be reaching over it to work under the hood and in the interior, etc. (I raise the car a foot or so off the ground when working under the hood, as it's much easier on the two (2) compression-fractured vertebrae I have).
If your primary goal is to use the lift for parking, with an oil change here and there, a 4-post would be fine, but you'll still need a jack (central carriage or...?) to do anything with the wheels off.

Ok I'll play. I bit cramped if I want to put 5 in there, but that is the only way to hide them from hail storms and such.

Here's mine. Not very good pictures, but it's what I have access to right now. It's a 30x60 outbuilding with 12 foot walls. Future plans for the garage include insulating and finishing the walls & ceiling. I will go with BMW motorsport blue/purple for the bottom four feet, then a one foot red stripe, then white on the remaining seven feet.

I really should tidy up some.
Okay. I'll play. My other car has wings.

Nice Cherokee. Mine is a sailplane. Although I usually drive my company jet which is a B767.
Thank you for the compliment. I bought in 1996 and did a ground up restoration (exterior, interior, panel & engine). Won several awards from the Cherokee Pilots Association.
I can't compete with that heavy metal! I'm just a weekend warrior with about 2,000 hours.
It finally stopped snowing, so I'll make my contribution. Unfortunately, I don't have as nice a setup as the gentleman from Texas.
Here is the Z3 in its summer home.

In hibernation for the winter after record snowfall for February. 274" in February. Over 450" for the season so far. More on the way.

The Z3 is under the parking deck, about 10 feet below the pickup.

That is the Z3 under the cover. I promise. I was originally hoping to have it out and ready to play by May 1. Not going to happen. Hoping for Memorial Day weekend at this point, but that might be too optimistic.
