Here is the picture, so, you will have idea how your rewiring should looks like.
I did my n62 TB swap with m60 Intake manifold.

    Hello.

    In a short way:

Comparing it to description from the 1 page rewiring DOESN'T go on colors (because both throttle bodies have the same wire's colors) ?

You sugget that wiring should be done by pin positions (aka top left wire from M62 should also be top left N62)

    Am I right ? Or wrong ?

Because at this moment i put both manifold and TB to my M62TU but it doesn't fire and work properly at all, misfires, unexpected detonation fires and no idle's (a bit better without flow meter bu still crap)...... OFC i will check everything from the bottom seal's of the manifold to the top again from tommorow morning. After all day in the garage it feels bad :\

Huh? I think he's showing you very simply where to swap the oem color wires on the new connector. The VW colors thing confuses things, Andrey's pic seems more straightforward and very clear to me. Put new pins on end of oem wires. Arrange as illustrated in new connector. Done.

Yeah, right. I get confused that day.

Reasumming: Pre-vanos and 4.8 throttle bolted on and working well.

This mod combined with cold air intake and performance exhaust works but.... It definetly needs remap (or some of well made flash like Alpina or ESS)

It seems to be lost some low-end torque, but become more effective on higher range of rpm's (but it feels to lean to get nice kick).

But any of the following mod's is worthless without remap. At least that's what i felt.

Looking for Alpine/ESS software's and we'll see what happend.

Curious if anyone knows this answer...

Revisiting doing this now that I have my 540 modified AFE intake, 4" MAF and was curious as to what the differences in throttle bodies are that show a "I, II, III" preceding the date. In my attachments, you'll see that even though the TB is older by date, it has a III instead of II. Does anyone know if this indeed refers to the generation of the throttle body or what it even means? Clearly I'm trying to get the latest one either by date or generation to minimize on defects. Keep in mind EU dating is DD-MM-YY.
EDIT: I've also found ones that were manufactured in 2005 and 2008 that have an "I".

Its def not a version number because that would be up in the PN and BMW always issues a new part number and a supercession when theres a revision.

The I / II / / III being by the date make me think its manufacture related. I bet its either the shift of the day, or the specific line within the plant, or maybe different mfr plants even from that day.

Interesting point about either the plant or maybe the shift/group that built it, that would help tracing defects during a recall. I guess I'll just stick to my original theory of buying one with a later date. Thanks!

so thread revival you pretty much did what i did with my 3.5 inch straight through maf upgrade, i also went with dimas and the DUDMD tune. i also went with electric fan conversion as well. I was lucky enough to build my kit where i have the aluminum shroud fid under the factory shroud and looks OEM that you couldnt tell i have electric under it.
    540i 6spd DUDMD tuned-weekend brute, sounds like an M5 throaty V8 "Vtec-ish" cam noise.

I will say this about the person pitching this idea. I ordered a harness from him on Ebay, had the nerve the place on Ebay it was shipped on 10/03 was supposed to be delivered on 10/13 I never received the item. I messaged him Ebay, Panjao, Bimmerforums, and Paypal never received the item or the response. If you do business with you're taking a chance. I have built 2 engines and anyone who had any questions I responded, not to mention if I took your money. Just be careful if you decide to do business with them. If not I can tell you how to build a harness its common sense aliexpresss for plugs, you can get a n63 throttle from anywhere. I don't normally post but I hate scammers

I did the swap car would it not respond to the gas pedal, would not idle. If you want real power go with 3.46 or 3.64 diff or supercharger. I built a 3.0 with m3 6 speed trans and 3.46 diff it put 265 to the wheels the should still be on here. It also has a war chip and a bored 74mm throttle body. What you are trying might work but it's most likely going to take a lot tuning and fabricating.

Yeah - I just looked at his other posts - they generally seem to more or less make sense, but oddly he doesn't seem to recognize that he's not posting actual sentences here and that his posts here don't make sense. I guess he just gets rippchit defensive about a joke and doesn't bother to notice "Ooops crap i seem to have posted nonsense".
