New E39 owner CD bluetooth question

    Hi all
I just bought a 2003 Touring 525i Lifestyle edition. It has the MKIV computer sat nav TV with cassette. In the boot/trunk there is no CD player (not expected as it wasn't in the VIN listing). I was wondering what Bluetooth adaptor I need for this? Many say to replace the CD with a bluetooth adaptor but as I don't have it, what should I look for connector wise?

    Many Thanks

If you are considering using a Bluebus as your Bluetooth solution (which I recommend highly), then you could reach out to Ted, the owner. He's very knowledgeable and responsive, in my experience.

+1 on Bluebus - just did it. Very nice. If your car is prewired for CD changer, then it is plug and play. There are videos out there on hookup demos. You should be able to use that to see if you are pre wired.

I don't think mine is prewired for the CD although it might be. Below the DVD drive it has the empty frame and at the bottom 2 small connectors. Might be that? No larger connector..

2 small connectors. Go look at Bluebus.dev and the YouTube videos. The e46 Vert has two small connectors- works great
