    GS6-17BG 6 speed tansmission from 06 e90 325i

    will the GS6-17BG 6 speed transmission fit the m50/s52 engine
    Bmw e30 332i
    Bmw e36 m3 convertible
    Bmw e46 325i

    There have been some threads on this subject, maybe in this or the M3 or the FI subforums. I think you need a different clutch, different linkage, different mount and different driveshaft.

    Yeah thats what im trying to figure out i have the transmission and i have the clutch disk with the proper splines, the e90 flywheel bolt pattern at flywheel is different, so i could use a e36 325i dualmass flywheel for clutch and i noticed that the e90 flywheel has a larger ring gear for starter, was looking for more info, wanting to swap this into my e36 m3, i may pull the tranny from my s52 e30 as i already have a e36 325i clutch flywheel installed on it and see how it mounts up and check starter engagement

    Subscribed .. If the tranny can be put on a m5... That means the engine can to a e36.. And that puts a 3.0 n5 engine a newest cheap engine swap. (Given ecu hacks. )
    Nobody would recertify these machines after somebody screwed with them without any visibility into what they did.

    Yep the bellhousing is pretty close by looks and i know a few bolts are not going to line up, I may test fit in s52 e30 this weekend and see what i'm working with and if its possible
