Jeez are you trying to kill your friends Dan? That must be the next phase of camp ground warfare. You know, the one that comes after the roman candle fight.

Went and shot the Mosin the other day 7.62 54r doesn't mess around! This is a Turbine wheel from a helicopter engine. Regularly sees 800 degrees C. Went right through.

You need to shoot it with a 9mm or even a .22 for reference..

A 22 wont go through for sure. I think some of the rounds that bounced off the plate were pistol caliber. Cant remember lol

The 54R surplus ammo is typically steel core. I've seen it put 1/2" deep craters in a thick steel plate when a comparable lead bullet only left a smear of lead on the surface.

My mechtech 10mm carbine upper came today. I bought one for my 1911 colt officer model just to try it out and see how I like it. My gf wants to shoot it too, but she has a hard time with the grip on a G20 so this single stack should work out better for her. IMG_6370.jpg

Take a tennis ball, cut it in half. Add water to the 2 halves and freeze. You now have potato gun ammo.

Nice. Are you into SASS(http://www.sassnet.com/) ? I've done some cowboy fast draw competitions, they were pretty fun actually, i did not win anything but still had fun. Fastest time was something like .4xx tenths of a second.

Edit - The gun had to be holstered and your hand could not be on the gun. As soon as the timer light goes off you have to draw and shoot the target before your opponent does. No fanning either, all one handed.

I loooooove cowboy stuff. I have a pre-64 Winchester levergun too.

Today I scooped up a .38 S&W snub/hammerless carry piece and an old H&R 9 shot .22 double action revolver.

Went and shot all 3 and had some fun. .357 mag rounds are super fun.

I need to get a lever action rifle and a revolver combo. Probably both in 44mag. That'll be sweet.

    - - - Updated - - -

Been watching a lot of old school westerns last couple of weeks. But always wanted that combo.

Thanks man. It's in immaculate shape for its age. Hands down the most accurate little .380 I've ever owned. First time I took it out my work mates and I were astonished by how closely the groupings were.
