Break again you POS, I dare you . . .

This makes 2 die-cast clutch return spring shafts that have broken in the last 2 years. Donor part is is already bent (bottom), so I decided to machine one (middle) out of 4130 cold-drawn quenched & tempered 1" round stock.

More important, how the hell are you breaking these? Do you have a poorly adjusted clutch pedal stop?

Go ahead and bite. Plenty for everyone.

Sits on the stub end of the back side of the clutch lever

Dunno. I put them in at the default adjustment from the donor pedal clusters. Must be extended too far.

I've had them break before, the pedal box (and spring perch) can warp and cause strange things like this and noisy brake boosters
