    Thanks for posting this shogun. Just an observation, and a question - my M30 engines have had no troubles with intermittent Fusible Link A. I wonder whether this is only a problem for M70 engines?

    M30 has just one DME, with half the current draw of M70.

    Here some pics, first 2 is the fusible link which goes from battery to the engine bay to supply power to the e-box. Originally wrapped in shrink tube, difficult to find.
    The one on the black plastic box supplies power to the rear fuse box under driver side rear seat for GM, RM, relays, fuses located there

    and the next one where the fusible link was the problem, took him almost a year to find out: 530i die after 1km start back after cooling down -- solved, fusible link https://www.bimmerforums.com/forum/s...-link-replaced

    did someone already replace the original fusible links with these reversible ones? called: Car Audio Inline Circuit Breaker Fuse 12V System Protection 50A, also available for 80 A.
    Any disadvantage/advatage?
