X6400 is the power post inside the E box. It feeds only DME loads. Page 1361-01 for M30 and 1367-00 for M70. Fusible Link A is 50 Amps

Page 0670-10 Fusible B is 80 Amps. It feeds all the Rear Power Box loads

Thanks for posting this shogun. Just an observation, and a question - my M30 engines have had no troubles with intermittent Fusible Link A. I wonder whether this is only a problem for M70 engines?

M30 has just one DME, with half the current draw of M70.

I was able to find a 100amp(too high?) inline fuse holder to replace fusible link A. Got everything hooked up, car started, sputtered then died and currently will not start back up. I had also made sure to double check my fuel pressure regulator. The vacuum hose (no clamps, just pulls off?) was dry and did not smell of fuel. I did not however remove the whole regulator to check for seepage. I will most likely pick up a new one today but I'm not extremely confident it will solve my issue.

As always any assistance has been and is still greatly appreciated!

Side note: while replacing the fuel pump I was unable to locate any solid info on what the "pre filter" looks like of how to replace/service although my blinders may not have allowed me to find any such info.

Here some pics, first 2 is the fusible link which goes from battery to the engine bay to supply power to the e-box. Originally wrapped in shrink tube, difficult to find.
The one on the black plastic box supplies power to the rear fuse box under driver side rear seat for GM, RM, relays, fuses located there

Just completed this job. Went from the originals..
.. to two 80A audio fuses as recommended. I’ll also be able to carry a couple of spares in the trunk. I used ferrules on the wires for an easier install.

please explain no power? Does the starter move but engine does not start? Or no starter movement at all? Checked all fuses in engine bay and under rear seats? Are you sure that both fusible links are o.k.?
